A bit about Clarence due to many wanting to learn more about them !!
Clarence Ambrose previously known as Clementine Ambrose is a vampire hunter. Though they prefer to go by the title of a mercenary due to not many people believing in mythical creatures / myths at the time. Clarence focuses his work on hunting down said myths, due to them wanting to collect information to sell in exchange for money. As well as many peoples pleads being ignored by the church and so they decide to take it in their own hands to help those who get rejected aid.
Disguised as a man, they take on the role of one. Just to be treated better and trusted when taking on these jobs. Knowing if others see them as a woman they wouldn’t be too open about letting Clarence provide their services.
Clarence grew up in a very comfortable life. Her father being a well known surgeon who worked hard. Going to war and coming back with stories to tell little Clarence. With that, Clarence admired his father deeply. Wanting to study in the medical field. Their mother didn’t quite understand Clarence, wanting her to grow to be a proper woman. Yet she didn’t dim their light, hoping with time they will come around to following her footsteps in enjoying singing ect. (Due to her mother’s passion being singing during fancy balls.)
His father would encourage his “son” to chase his dreams, to study and grow to become a successful person. Thus Clarence grew up to have strong sense of beliefs and values. Her family coming first before her own needs or wants. Which lead to her slowly turning into the picture of “perfect daughter,” and “perfect soon to be wife.” Which since childhood she would rant to her childhood best friend hating the idea of marrying. Yet not wanting to disappoint her family they decided to suck it up.
Traveling back to Britain, their mother sadly passed due to birth complications. Causing Clarence to belief she needed to fill the holes of her mother. For a while she took pride, when people would comment how they look just like their mother when young! Yet they weren’t too sure why they felt a slight of unhappiness when being watered down to just a picture of their mother. Still they took on many responsibilities, slowly drifting away from their original dreams in someway following their father’s footsteps. Wanting to keep the memory of their mother alive.
Once their birthday hit, when she became a young adult. Clarence expected it to be filled with joyful laughter and potential of making found memories. But their private estate got broken into. As many were murdered. Clarence attempted to save their father, yet he told him to run and hide. To save their sibling and themselves. Clarence attempted to, yet the vampires who broke in and destroyed the property by setting it to blaze took their sibling. Clarence was the only survivor.
Attempting to reach out to the church for help. They processed to claim she was going through grief. That she needed to pray and it will “go away.” Clarence was confused on their dismissive attitude. (Especially since his father would tell her to have high respect to the church.) So Clarence was confused on why the people her father highly respected rejected on giving their hand to help.
They turned to running away from the church, as she disguised themselves as Clarence. To collect information themselves and now going around becoming the helping hand he wished he had when the accident happened.
Their goal is to find their brother, dead or alive. To finally confirm if he is truly alone.

To some people they do reveal their identity, but now they get told they look just like their father! Which makes them spiral slightly. Confused on their own identity but also feeling like they’re erasing the memory of his mother. </3
