Classical Halloween: Paul Dukas - The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
I always picture Mickey Mouse and Fantasia while listening to this.
Classical Halloween: Giuseppe Tartini - Sonata in G Minor, “Il trillo del Diavolo”
The Devil comes to Tartini in a dream and this is the piece he plays.
Classical Halloween: J.S. Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 565
No Halloween playlist is complete without this piece.
Classical Halloween: Edvard Grieg - Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Mvmt. IV: In the Hall of the Mountain King
Not exactly a Halloween piece, but the creeping around certainly fits the theme.
Classical Halloween: Camille Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre, Op. 40
Such a creepy thrill.
Classical Halloween: Hector Berlioz - Symphonie Fantastique, Mvmt. V Ronde du sabbat
It was hard to choose between the fourth and fifth movements of this piece for this week, the fourth movement is the main character of the story being led to the scaffold to be beheaded and this movement is the witches and monsters that have gathered for the main character’s funeral.
