Hogwarts Library Hello everyone! I apologize that I had said wayyyyy back in August that I would post everyday but I figured that I was not at my desk very often and also that my desk was often a mess, if I am to be completely honest. That being said, it is now the new school year and I am officially a university student! While it is not the experience that I wanted to have, I am still very excited for my classes. I have, thankfully, managed to choose full-year courses! I have five courses this year: - Elementary Classical Greek - Approaches to French Literature: An Introduction (a second year course! More on that later if you want to know why I, a first year, am in a second year course) - The Roots of Western Civilization: Ancient World - History of Astronomy And - Imperialism and Nationalism in Modern Asia Now surprisingly, almost all these courses somehow, not chose for this reason by me, are kind of intertwined in a way. In History of Astronomy, we will learn about astronomical discoveries in the Hellenistic period, same with Roots of Western Civilization. Needless to say, I am VERY excited for this school year. I have started to use Notion and honestly, it's such a great tool. It is definitely going to help me stay on top of everything! If anyone wants, I can go into more detail in a story highlight. Comment below if you want to see my Notion setup! So basically, in the pictures you will see a sneak peek of the individual class main pages and 3 out of 5 classes also have books in them. That is because History of Astronomy does not require textbooks and my Imperialism and Nationalism in Modern Asia course only starts tomorrow (we started school on Wednesday last week which is why I wanted to start posting regularly this week because I will have actual content to post now) and I do not know if there is a book the professor requires us to buy as the syllabus has not been posted yet. Either way, I am very excited and hope all of you are doing well. Until next time! Love, Esme of the Scholarly Archives
