The Lambrou Pens LN2 Harvest artist proof shown here was made in July 2020. It’s a 6 inch long Lambrou Pens Oversize Legend hand crafted by Paul Rossi from Flame Red diffusion bonded acrylic with a Rossi made sterling silver floral design clip. The artwork is by Yoshitsugu Nakama, and because Nakama is allergic to urushi sap the decoration is made with an inert material he seals with epoxy resin. The Harvest design is based on the an original watercolor by Jenny Lambrou that was used for the other Classic Pens / Lambrou Pens Harvest models and represents harvest time on the island of Cyprus. Nakama’s interpretation is painted the cap and barrel with grapevine leaves, bunches of grapes, wheat stalks, and morning glory flowers over a pale yellow-brown coating to highlight the wheat artwork.

This is a Classic Pens LS series prototype with a samurai design c. 2001-2005.  The Lambrou Sunami LS Collection was launched in 2001 as artwork done on Parker Duofold Centennial pens and each was a very small edition of about 15 pens in successive designs. The first pen was the LS1 Kirara (geometric) in 2001. That design comprises more than 1,000 individual strips of blue pearl and pure gold by Maki-E master Tatsuya Tōdō. The final pen in the series was the LS12 Shimarisu (chipmunks), released in 2004 with artwork by Maki-E master Shogetsu Mitani. The samurai design shown here is on a Pelikan fountain pen, a prototype for a proposed series of 15 pens. This design was also prototyped on the Parker Duofold Centennial.

This is a Parker Duofold Classic Pens CP5 Modern in sterling silver, released in 1999. The Modern has tapered ends evoking the original streamline Parker Duofold, introduced in 1929. The cap and barrel are engraved in a high relief Fishnet pattern, created on a modern engraving machine, intended to reflect contemporary design, and made from two linear engravings: circular rings counterpointed with a wavy diamond pattern. The pen is fitted with the tapered cap top and emblem featured on the 1996 style modern Duofolds. The nib is an 18 karat gold Parker Duofold banner M medium and the trim is gold plated. The cap band has CP5 and the 500 of 1,888 edition number laser engraved. The edition was limited to 500 pieces, so this pen represents the final number of the edition. This is the Lambrou Pens LN2 Harvest artist proof fountain pen made in 2020. This 6 inch long pen is based on the Lambrou Pens Oversize Legend hand crafted by Paul Rossi from Flame Red diffusion bonded acrylic. Paul also hand crafts the floral design clip from sterling silver. The artist is Yoshitsugu Nakama, whose roots are from Japan but he now lives and works in New York. Yoshi is allergic to urushi sap which is toxic and instead creates his works with a modern, inert material which he seals with epoxy resin. The design on this pen is called Harvest and is based on an original watercolor by Jenny Lambrou to represent harvest time on the island of Cyprus. Yoshi painted the cap and barrel with grapevine leaves, bunches of grapes, wheat stalks, and morning glory flowers. The pen is coated in a pale yellow-brown to better highlight the wheat artwork. The blue seal, designed by Paul Rossi, represents the American Bald Eagle. This is the Lambrou Pens LB6 Virtues Harmony in Forest Green, introduced in 2017. The LB6 Virtues Collection were crafted by Paul Rossi in seven exclusive diffusion bonded acrylic finishes, ten pieces each finish, based on the Lambrou Pens Mythos oversize pen. Each pen was fitted with a Bock oversize G-380, 18-karat gold nib unit in Medium. The LB6 Virtues Harmony in Forest Green was available with yellow gold vermeil trim and in both round and faceted forms. A throwback photo from 2007. This is a Classic Pens LB3 Jupiter fountain pen, a limited edition of 100 pens introduced in 2007. Each 5 3/4 inch long pen was created individually by Paul Rossi from Classic Pens Space Blue diffusion bonded acrylic. The planet Jupiter inlay on the barrel is in Flame Red diffusion bonded acrylic. Four of Jupiter’s moons are represented in white and blue acrylic inlays. There are twenty-one stars in 18 karat gold, inlaid in three constellation formations, with seven stars each formation. On either side of the clip are the Big Bear and Little Bear and Orion is on the barrel. Small sterling silver stars are inlaid to complete the night sky surrounding the planet. This is a prototype Classic Pens ZJ1 Mozaique limited edition pen in sterling silver from 2007. The series had a total of 50 pens, 25 sterling silver, 15 vermeil and 10 in 18K gold. It has a two-tone 18 karat gold nib. The engraving was done by hand on a 1927 engraving machine by the Murelli company in France, making each pen a little different from the others. An unusual feature is the engraving continues to the cap top and the section. A throwback photo from 2008. This is a set of LB2 Kimono prototypes with the artwork on Classic Pens Legend pens, done in the Togidashi Maki-E technique, which is a combination of two painted designs that run the length of the cap, barrel and section in a continuous flow. The base colors are applied in wide bands that softly transition from one color to the next down the length of the pen. A fine gold dust is then sprinkled over the cap and barrel, which gives the finish its sheen. Finally, the artist paints the raised concentric rings of alternating silver and gold. Every pen carries the Red Seal Signature of the artist, Tatsuya Todo, near the base of the barrel.
