I’m not sure if you sent a question with this and Tumblr ate it or if you just wanted me to see the picture so I’m going to pretend you are asking me to identify the tiara.  It’s the Girls of Great Britain & Ireland Tiara but it looks a bit odd from this angle and I had to do a double take to make sure that’s what it was.  

When was the picture taken?  It has to be sometime between 1947 when QEII was given the tiara by Queen Mary and 1969 when she had the lozenge pattern base put back on it.  I’d guess a royal tour in the 60s to somewhere warm but there were a lot of those.

Yes they announced last week that for the first time in it’s 13 years there will be no Christmas Special as they feel they have run out of ideas. 

However we may get one on New Years instead!
