Yesterday, I found out on RAC’s socials that he’d announced his new album EGO, out on July 14th. After I did a requisite happy dance around the room, I noticed that the Grammy award winning producer was asking his multitude of fans to guess who the featured artists might be on EGO. It’s a tough challenge considering all the musicians who would love to work with the esteemed artist, and I certainly would never have guessed the guest on today’s new single, I Still Wanna Know. This summertime prancer and luminous dazzler features none other than Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, who lends his vocals and a guitar solo to the heartwarming indie dance anthem. I Still Wanna Know also feature additional production by Classixx. Turns out, André Allen Anjos, Classixx, and Rivers Cuomo make a sublime team. Together, they’ve crafted a dance pop gem that ventures into alt pop and pop rock territory. The sleek throbbing, riff soaring spectacular is available to stream/download, here. You can pre-order EGO, here. I’ll be awaiting that ebullient RAC dance party when he plays Outside Lands Music Festival come August.

Rüfüs du Sol's "Be With You"
For fans of ZHU, Bob Moses, Lane 8, CLASSIXX, Kaskade, The Knocks, Henry Krinkle, Gorgon City, Duke Dumont, Tchami.
Australian band Rüfüs du Sol broke into the American mainstream in 2016 with their album "Bloom". After playing many festivals and headlining their own tour, this indie/alternative dance band have been earning fan after fan. Taking a cue stylistically from the 90's dance music deep house revival, Rüfüs goes beyond just a guy on a computer. Instead, they incorporate live instrumentation in addition to smooth beats and chilly-cool dance vibes. "Be With You" is only one of a handful of amazing singles from this band.
Track featured on lechuga mix 2017/01.
