The End of Senior Year 🩵

Two days later and I am still unable to erase the to do list that I made on notion for the last week of high school. It's a mess. Everything from finishing projects to turning in textbooks is scheduled on there.

Those checkboxes are how I survived high school. Every assignment that was checked off, everything that I've turned in compiled into a large pile and converted into a grade. It all started with an item on my to do list.

Will I still use notion in college? Will I have a much larger list? Or will it be about the same workload? I had an orientation on Zoom this week. They said that college expects you to treat your study's like a full time job. They even showed us an example schedule of what they expected our weeks to look like. Most of the times were filled with classes, studying, and the gym. I bet my college schedule will look similar to that. But as a girl who has never once stuck to an exact time table, should I be worried? Should I be worried that the time table was so full, so that if I oversleep or spend too long getting ready the whole schedule will be bumped backwards.

I think I'm overthinking. I'll know when I get there. First, I have to pick what dress I'll wear to graduation. I think that I'll wear my doc martens that haven't been broken in yet to graduation.

Poet's Note: The fact that I've finished K~12 hasn't hit me yet. As someone who has actually went to school longer than most (not because I was held back) it feels like graduation has been long overdue. I know that I've always wanted to move on to other chapters, but now graduation is less than a week away and I'm not sure how to feel. It still hasn't hit me yet, but I'll be sure to give updates when it does.
