This Kickstarter has sadly expired, falling short of its goal, but the ideas expressed within are still worth exploring as more teachers bring game mechanics into daily classwork and lesson planning.

ClassRealm - an Education Kickstarter

Education people!  There is an amazing-sounding Kickstarter looking for funding to create an online tool called ClassRealm.

From the ClassRealm Kickstarter page:

In simplest terms ClassRealm is a customizable web-based tool that can be used by teachers, students and parents to track student achievements, provide students with entertaining and educational adventures, as well as improve their overall academic performance. ClassRealm will be accessible from any web-enabled desktop or mobile device.

It sounds like an amazing idea and only has 47 hours (as of my writing this) to make its funding goal.

Check it out and if you're interested, think about funding it!  I'm not involved with it at all, by the way, aside from being a backer.  I just think it sounds like such a fun idea, but then again, I'm big about gaming in the classroom.
