The tablet was great for Skyping this afternoon. I should think about how I want to arrange the classroom next time so that our speaker can see more of the students, but the microphone was surprisingly sensitive and voice carried well over the room's sound system. Surface for the win, again.

I think I mentioned this with the debate as well, but the Surface is fantastic for recording video of in-class assignments. The sound pickup is surprisingly good, and while my camera work is never going to win any awards, it's really nice to have the presentations to review as I'm grading.
