So today at work I won over the Ukranian full time worker. After months of just smiling and taking initiative and doing what I was told to do efficiently, he finally smiles at me now and jokes with me. 

"Did you give me back my pen?" 

"Oh, yes, here it is! I was going to give it to you." 

"Yes yes I'm sure." 

"No really! i was ! i was just going to get a new container for the sauces! I wasn't leaving!" 

"hahaha i kid I kid!" 

he's pretty bad ass though. He's like 40-50 something year old man with a thick ukranian accent and he likes to listen to led zeppelin and smoke cigars at home while his daughters sleep. 

he doesn't take smoke breaks at work. 

he takes cigar breaks. 

Classy.
