watch my clay game. watch me squash
These are mobile games I played that are obscure and I find most of them underrated. Some I remembered and some I played a few years ago. I was about to do the second part of this, but then I lost my motivation and never finished. So here's a rough sketch of this. lol
Obscure mobile games in this picture are:
Top: Little Alchemy, Clay Jam, Happy Fall, Axolotl Game, Fishing Food, Blosics, Amazing Breaker, Mega Jump, and Super Bear Adventure.
Bottom: Light Bonfire, Whale Trail, Piggy Adventure, Alchemie Connections, Like a Dino!, Frog Lady, and Toadled.
After I lost interest in playing well-known mobile games for years such as Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, and so on. I thought myself to play these obscure mobile games from 2020 til' 2023 including some of them I remembered and wanted to play them again with 100% completion.
They are short-lived and actually completed from the start to finish rather than infinite updates forever. These obscure mobile games are better than most other mobile games nowadays with pay-2-win, annoying pop-up ads, and such. The last mobile game I ever played (not in both drawings) was "MADChef"; a bootleg GHS game. This was before I made my decision to quit playing mobile games altogether. And this was also part of the reason to improve my health since the pandemic lockdown I struggled with.
BRING BACK CLAY JAM FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I MISS HER MORE WITH EACH PASSING DAY
i could never kill her
I can play clay jam in 2023!!!!!
so when I was little I had a kindle fire and I used to play this game called clay jam on it and now it's kind of a lost game as it's not really on app stores anymore but I found a way to play it!
I have an old kindle fire that I bought from a charity shop (the same kind I had when I was a kid) and today I had the thought "I wonder if I can still get clay jam on my kindle fire?" so I looked on the amazon store and it is still on there and I bought it and it is playable on my kindle!!! I'm so happy :D
If you search 'clay jam game' on amazon you can buy it for your kindle fire but I think you need to have an older kindle fire as some reviews were saying that on their newer devices they can't play it as the game is built to work on an older operating system. This was an issue I read about in the reviews for plants vs zombies on the kindle.

For our first project we really wanted to stand out from the crowd. The game idea involved carving into a surface with your finger, so needed a very tactile look that begged for interaction. Bizarre characters would also be a big part of the game, and they should live in a fun and pleasant environment. We decided Claymation was the perfect fit for the atmosphere we were going to create. >>
The colourful clay invokes a sense of nostalgia in adults and excites kids who can relate to the familiar medium. I have always loved the stuff since being introduced to it as a kid and shooting my first Claymation. It’s also very satisfying being able to sculpt and hold the physical game art, opposed to virtual computer generated models. I hope that all the fun we had molding Clay Jam shines through as you play it. ∎

Do you remember the days of FarmVille? Who doesn’t remember the days of FarmVille is a better question. Zynga was once a part of our everyday life, when Facebook had a much stronger hold on the lives of all of us, allowing this game company to monopolise the social network. They had every game going for the browser users and the requests came pouring in (I almost deactivated my Facebook until I found out you could block requests – the names of people I won’t mention), constant reminders to water my plants or join my friends in a word game or to stock my shop. These kind of games and requests catapulted Zynga into the stratosphere, making millionaires and investment into loads of other, similar, time consumingbrowser games. Thankfully, those days are behind us.
Here’s another one you might remember, Draw Something, yes, I thought so. A popular app by an independent developer team who just wanted it’s users to have a good time guessing each others drawings. For some it was a creative outlet, allowing them to showcase their artistic skills to their network of friends. For others it was proof that their ‘F’ in art was genuine. Draw Something was a smash, everybody had it, you couldn’t escape it! Not long passed until it grabbed the attention of the execs over at Zynga, they wanted it, they needed it after all. Their games were losing users daily and their presence in the social arena was becoming dimmer. Fast forward a couple of months and you guessed it, Zynga now owned the game. They added a few new features, people got bored and once again Zynga was on the way down again.
That was until they released this cute, original game. Clay Jam. The entire game is built of clay, every aspect from the buttons to the social connections are all made of the squidgy stuff we used to play with as kids!
The gameplay was basic, all you have to do was help a little clay ball get it’s home back. You did this by guiding it down a hill, destroying other clay badies, each one you squished made you bigger as their clay became part of you, the bigger you are, the badder the enemies you can kill. That simple. It’s safe for me to say that the rest of the game will be more enjoyable if you discover it yourself ;).
The app costs nothing and i don’t ever remember seeing it hit the top spot in the App Store.
Well done Zynga Inc. you have another treasure in your hands.
