Hello! this is @dr4wmaterial's casual analog art blog. I don't think the quality of these is up to snuff with my digital stuff especially since analog is only fun rather than professional work for me. I like to experiment with mostly dry/marker medium and different paper types so I hope you learn something here too! And yes, my dslr I use to take pics has a lot of dust and shit 😔
Prismacolors + Polychromos + Faber Castell Black Edition
Multicolor Colored Pencils
Brutfuner Multicolor 12, 26
I'll swatch it later.....
Watercolor Brush Markers by Set
Zig Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush (warm, cool, light skin, dark skin) (mouthful), Yu Xue Tong Dual Tip Marker 36 (possibly a white label brand), Tombow Dual Tip (portrait), Hightune 100 Dual Tip Markers (definitely white label), Sakura Koi 48 (this one has a lot of missing and incomplete colors)
Watercolor Brush Markers by Colors
Made this swatch sheet based on my new way of organizing these markers. I prioritized portrait colors and then sorted by tone and value. ALSO I made custom sticker swatch + number label using the price sticker, super affordable in philippines. also also super recommend sorting them out like this...
Languo Direct Liquid Acrylic Markers
My first acrylic marker set, I bought the small 9 packs and tried completing them all. Atm I'm thinking I outgrew the color scheme... I might get a guangna 168 some time instead.
Will post a pic of the set some time
Miracle Works Dual Tip Markers
Meant this one as a gift but it didn't arrived and I refunded it but it arrived anyway. I actually prefer the color selection compared to languo, because I just like subtler less blunt colors in my art... Incidentally I gifted the guangna 120s instead.
Guangna Skin Color Markers
Languo Gel Pen + Moka Gel Pens + Metallic Acrylic Marker
Sharpeners
Deli 0642D - Bought for weird brutfuner square size, pretty good for a lot of colored pencils and jumbo sized pencils. T'gaal - has 5 settings for the angle of sharpness
I don't want 2 talk abt it corner...
Various Tempera Paint sticks, Silky Crayons
Sketchbooks
I ring bind them myself because I tend to use a lot of different types of paper.
Main Papers:
Worx Vellum Board Smooth White/Cream 200 gsm - Acrylic marker stuff, too glidey for colored pencil
Deli Sketch Paper - Colored pencils
Glossy Photo paper - Acrylic Marker, has an interesting effect, squeaky with dryer markers
Etchr Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper - expensive old thing I havent used for years. Feels nice but overpriced.
Binding stuff:
Ring binder
Kw-Trio 6 hole A5 puncher, I manually cut the holes open with scissors
Most Satisfying Videos to Watch 7/10: Pressure Washing
Pressure washing is the most satisfying way to clean something ever. Power washing can clean like literally anything. The dirtier the thing you’re cleaning the more satisfying the video is. Washing anything is satisfying because you can watch it go from one dirty color to a much more satisfying clean color. No one likes looking at something dirty when it could be clean. Power washing is so satisfying because it cleans a spot in one nice sweep and the line are so straight and clean. I could watch pressure watching videos for hours.
HAHAH so I noticed my traditional works (namely my pen doodles) get more attention than my digital works and idk?? I find it kinda funny because my digital works not only room much more effort to complete, but they also look cleaner and more dynamic
kinda weird but hey! nice 2 know my pen doodles r cool
Princess Diana sketch. Honestly after this last class I’ve been in for my degree I’ve been really curious about how else to apply this style to different mediums since just using sketch paper or illustration board gets monotonous.
I also found out she died on my 6th birthday and it’s been fucking me up.
