Braces are off!!!!!
Feels very weird... Some bizarre combination of slimy and fuzzy.
Retainers on Wednesday, tooth cleaning within a few weeks, then bonded lower retainer soon after that (cause of my stupid rotated lower incisors from 2 years ago), and then I'm done except for a couple of recall visits! wOOt!
For the anon asking about clear retainer for school: I got a severe reaction to any metal the piercer put in me, so she gave me a clear, glass retainer. Since the glass is not at all active, you should not have any reaction or infection to it. I would ask about that to see if it's an option!
Hmmm... I'd always assumed the clear retainers were plastic only, hence my previous advisory. A follower had previously commented about how plastic retainer are a problem for infection, but perhaps the glass ones aren't a problem, so this might be a good option (unless someone can and wants to argue otherwise).
Thank you for that suggestion...
getting chapstick in my retainer is the most disgusting thing to ever happen to me.
