It wasn't even that they were lazy; it's that Lifetime is notorious for having these very constraining time slots for feature movies. Those transitional scenes do take extra time and money, no matter how fleeting they are.
My main problem is with people dismissing the entire message of this movie just to rag on it being in the classic Lifetime movie format. Almost every Lifetime movie is formatted exactly like this one; couldn't people have just taken the message away from the movie? Even the worst movies have something to take away from them. That's all I'm saying.
