I love Arizona. You have everything you want within arms reach. Forests of pine and snow going one direction; Saguaro cactus and scorpions going another. I’ve paid a visit to haunted hotels in the desert and walked thru hidden caverns that thrive right underneath your feet. Instead of trying to write it all down, I think I’m gonna collect all of my tales here. On Tumblr. Both private and public. Enjoy. 🐾

When the parking is so steep you have to use your rear tire as a ladder to get in. 😂😂 . . . #phoenix4x4 #jeep #jeepparking #wranglernation #wrangler #jeepnation #jeepsonly #arizona #cleator #igdaily #signs (at Cleator Bar & Yacht Club)

Located between Bumble Bee and Crown King, north of Phoenix and west of Interstate 17, lies the ever eclectic community of Cleator (listed as having eight permanent residents in 2020). Often referred to as a ghost town, Cleator was established two miles from Turkey creek in 1864 under the original name Turkey Creek Mining District after gold was found and mined. Today, it is affectionately known for its proximity to Crown King and as home of the Cleator General Store and Cleator Bar and Yacht Club.
