Hellboy and B.P.R.D. Predecessors The Foundry Get Mini-Series
Dark Horse and Curious Objects are introducing readers to Queen Victoria's secret agency. The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas is written by Mike Mignola and Chris Roberson, drawn by Christopher Mitten, colored by Michelle Madsen, and lettered by Clem Robins. The four-issue miniseries will feature characters from Witchfinder and Hellboy: The Silver Lantern Club.
Before Hellboy and the B.P.R.D., Queen Victoria's Empire was protected by the Foundry, a group of adventurers and explorers more interested in "the scientific applications of the artifacts that their expeditions uncovered or what engineering marvels could be devised from ancient discoveries" than the paranormal and the occult. Now, "Major Karam Singh and his fellow members of the Foundry go in search of an unknown menace that appears to threaten enemies and allies alike, unsure whether they are in pursuit of some sort of monster or something far worse." (Dark Horse)
The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas #1 (of 4), featuring a cover by Christopher Millen, goes on sale on August 12, 2026.
