Aidan used to like hiking, but it's been quite a while since he's been able to. even before linking to the Conway, he had to spend a lot of time in the hospital and was usually recovering from one surgery or another.
9. Do they give tough love or gentle love most often? Which do they prefer to receive?
he can be very closed-off and doesn't like to show affection, but with those he's closest to he does give gentle affection. he's pretty awkward about receiving affection, though, and he'd say he would rather just not. (which is a lie. lowkey he craves those lil subtle moments of affection)
10. What fact do they excitedly tell everyone about at every opportunity?
again, he's pretty closed-off, and reluctant to share his own interests. however he will brag about his captain's accomplishments if you let him.
17. What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them?
most people first notice his extensive cybernetics. depending on what he's got semisynth skin over at the time, he looks anywhere from "huh, that guy has a bunch of neural interface ports, he must be some sort of tech specialist" to "oh that guy's got a prosthetic leg" to "can't tell if he's a robot with artificial skin or if he's an extreme cyborg". what he tends to notice first is how he always looks exactly as he has. his appearance doesn't change unless he changes something about it on purpose.

Aidan doesn't get scared very often, preferring instead to reroute the fear into anger or annoyance. when it happens it's usually on someone else's behalf, and he does what he can to ensure their safety or comfort. (when he does feel afraid, though, it's always his captain that he turns to.)
