It's easy to see why I chose these pods to mature, dry and save seed from.

They are all long, well filled out with multiple seeds and all come from the same plant. The plant itself was vigorous and prolific. These are the traits I want to keep and develop for the future.

Mr slug has been nibbling for the couple of days on my climbing beans. He won’t be staying... don’t worry I will add him to my compost bin where he will do good not harm.

VEGIE REVIEW - KING PURPLE CLIMBING BEANS

Gave these a go for the first time this season. I'm impressed, will be planting again next season.

SPECS: Vigorous, heavy, large growing vine 8 foot plus. Needs a solid trellis in a patch of their own. Mine took over the corn plants like a kudzu vine!

Good germination and easy care. Vines send multiple side shoots and the plant was around 6 foot before any sign of flowers. Slow to start flowering but the wait is worth it. Heavy, fast growing and multiple cropping bean variety. Harvest every second day to keep up.

Beans turn green when cooked. Only fully mature pods have some strings, otherwise stringless.

Plant update! My BEANS are doing lovely just like they are, absolutely fabulous my children I love. We lost some purple broccoli in the war, they were a bit delicate when moved and the hot days following their relocation meant many suffered to the drought. However, them sexy ass flowers are coming in STRONG. We love to see it, slay slay slay.

Beans for 2022

I figured I would keep writing about the other seeds I have sown this year, so this time, its Beans. I did 4 types of climbing/Pole/Runner Beans, and 2 types (so far anyway) of Bush Beans. If you read my last post about zucchini and squash.
