You hummed as you cleaned up his hand, shaking your head at your ahki, “you shouldn’t have tried to attack them ahki, look, your hand is bleeding and your probably going to get your swords confiscated by Bruce agai-“
“How old were you when you stopped calling him father?” Damian blurted out, interrupting your light scolding.
The question threw you off for a moment as you went quiet, thinking about it yourself as you finished wrapping his hand. “I’ve… never really called him dad. He just never was dad for me.. a different man holds that title in my heart.”
This pique the boy’s interest, his sibling had a father figure? Who? Where are they?
“Mhmm… he was my mom’s boss, she would take me to work with her often due to the place she worked at said they’d help her watch me, but since I was the only child there, I’d end up wondering around. Her boss and I became close, with him showing me how to properly punch and how to fill out documents… hehe he was one of the people who taught me how to read,” you reminiscence fondly of the older man.
He smelt like tobacco and soap, and acted like a stern grump, but he adored children. He’d often play with you, allowing you to do his makeup after you found some in your mom’s purse.
“Where is he now?” Damian asked, fascinated at how fond you speak of him.
“He runs a gym on the east side of Gotham, I go there a couple times a week to workout,” you got up from the couch and walked over to your kitchen, pulling out some ice cream for yours and Damian’s upcoming marathon of binge watching.
“He specializes in boxing, he taught me how to box when I was in middle school, it’s a good way to let out rage. He’s my dad in my heart, even though I call him Pop pop.” You handed Damian his bowl of ice cream and turned on the tv, “by the way, my group is planning to go out of town this weekend and tour some museums and aquariums, wanna come with?” You smiled lazily at the boy, already knowing his answer.
He looked surprised as he nodded, his face getting focused as he stared into your eyes intensely, he was getting nervous, his way of getting nervous, “can… can we have a do over?… for your birthday.. I.. I feel so much shame for what has happened tonight. I’d like to remedy this abysmal birthday party..”
You bursted out laughing and nodded, leaning back on your couch as giggles erupted from your stomach, “Yeah of course! But if you’re gonna get me a chew toy, make sure it’s my favorite color okay?” You teased as your ahki became red faced at remembering the ‘gifts’ they had brought.
“I swear, I do know how to spell your name.”
“You better, I’ll start taping letters to your door,” you smiled at him as Titus walked over and sat by your feet, enjoying the happy atmosphere of his favorite humans joking about the worst party any anima or human has ever seen, but he did get a chew toy out of it.

This thought has been bothering me all day, lol. What if Batfam discovers a tattoo or several on Reader (clingy Dami series)? Bruce and Demian will go crazy.
I don’t think Damian would react much if reader has tattoos, he’d probably criticize their line work and shading, but that’s about it. He’s use to reader wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts, he knows they are there.
Bruce on the other hand is freaking out, bc he perceives reader to be younger than they actually are. He thinks his teenager got tattoos!! Were they safe tattoos?? Who tattooed you???

Damian, confused: “Yes… Sibling has tattoos. They’ve had tattoos since they became legally of age.”
Bruce: “they aren’t even out of high school yet, how did you get them [name]??”
