The Magpie
The bed was warm. Wherever he was it certainly was comfortable, nestling himself deeper into the blankets with a purr; not wanting to open his eyes. Curled up he heard voices talking in another room, no, not talking. Sounded more like arguing which unsettled him. Why were they arguing, what were they arguing about?
Loki really didn’t want to get up be he found himself slinking out form underneath his horde of blankets, creeping to the partially opened door to peak through.
There was a few people standing, a couple others sitting. One he recognized for sure! It was Thor, his brother. But he looked so much older, how could he be so much older? He would figure that out later.
“And what? You just want to keep him here like a pet?” “You want to send him back to Asgard? He’s a kid now!” “He might look like a kid but lets not forget this ‘kid’ ripped New York apart with his alien buddies!” Another voice intervened. “What if he doesn’t remember what he’s done? He hit his head pretty hard when that curse was thrown at him..”
Were they talking about him? He hadn’t ripped a New York! What was going on? Loki thought to himself. Padding over he found a chair with armor and clothing dumped on it. Green and golden and a great horned helm on the dresser. It certainly was pretty! Who did it belong to?
His small fingers were just about to reach for it when the door swung open, filling the semi dark room with light and Loki squeaked in fright; backing himself into a corner as they came in closer. “P-Please.. I didn’t do anything.. I swear!”
