At this point, Bones really should just,,,, not base their ocs on irl friends. If all your friends leave and make you hate your characters, maybe you're better off not taking that inspiration at all

And also (for Bones AND other writers/artists) it's okay to have an objectively bad character, as long as you don't make excuses for them. It's depressing to see these very much shitty characters (like Melissa and Taizo) being unnecessarily redeemed simply because you've grown an attachment to the character (or you're no longer friends with whoever the other character in the storyline was based on.) Not everything has to be PG13, you can make shitty characters that you happen to also love. God
