Call this Spring?! Taking today off while I have other work either drying or waiting for the kiln to cool off. Plus it's snowing and CRAZY cold outside and don't much fancy wrecking my hands and putting them out of order for the next few days. So today I'll be inside working on my website! Packing up orders today and getting this work off to @thebiscuitfactorygallery in Newcastle. I had some major kiln trouble the past couple of weeks and it really held up a lot of work. Shot of me in my wood work space. This space has changed quite a bit since I started up. When I grew up it was the stable that we used to keep lambs in. It's got a distinctive feel, thick walls and concrete floor. I sort of wish it still looked the way I remember it growing up, super pared back and bare (maybe with a wee lamb to cheer me on). Today there are shelves all over the walls, half finished work, wood blanks and tools cover the floor. Dust and shavings everywhere. It's a proper work space but makes me feel like I should really take more care about the space that I make work in.
