To be fair, the amount of times someone has yelled “NO!” to Anakin Skywalker for him to just not stop whatever he was doing, I’m sure Rex thought that word is just not in his vocabulary.

Well, I couldn't decide which one, so I decided to do two short one-shots. Hope that's okay with you :)

Fives/Rex x Reader - Your Sweet Gentleman

Fluff

Fives

You'll be off work soon. But you still have a good hour ahead of you. The day was exhausting and feels longer than usual. The thought of coming home to an empty apartment again doesn't necessarily make you happier. Fives has been on a mission with the 501st for a while now.

You try to just get on with your work and not think about it too much, wanting to just get the last hour over with, when you notice your colleagues looking up curiously. You frown, but before you can check who or what has caught their interest, you hear a familiar voice.

"I have a delivery here for someone very special."

You blink, not sure if you really heard what you think you heard. As you turn around you see someone standing there, you recognize the armor, however the face is hidden behind a giant colorful bouquet of flowers. Behind the bouquet, you hear the voice again.

"I have here some beautiful flowers for the most beautiful being in this Galaxy".

Slowly the bouquet sinks. First you see Five's cheeky eyes and the tattoo on his forehead, shortly after that his whole beautiful face and the engaging smile on his lips.

"Hello Mesh'la," he says, beaming.

Your heart nearly overflows with joy that he is here again and at the wonderful, loving gesture. Fives finally spreads his arms with a grin.

"Now come on into my arms."

You jump at him, and he laughingly wraps his arms around you.

You say with a devoted sigh, "I've missed you so much."

Fives kisses your temple and says, "I've missed you too."

As you slowly pull away from the embrace, he finally holds the bouquet out to you again and says, "Look, I brought all your favorites"

You grin and look at the bouquet. Fives is right, all your favorite flowers in your favorite colors are there. The thought that Fives has remembered these things warms your heart.

Rex

You feel his presence even before you turn around. But part of you doesn't believe that when you turn around, you'll see Rex standing in front of you. You know he's on a mission, and the last time you called, he said he'd be gone for at least two more weeks, which was five days ago.

Still, you turn around slowly, your heart pounding. At the first moment your heart sinks again, because he is really not behind you. However, your gaze wanders around the room and then you do see him. He stands at the entrance of the room, a smirk on his lips as your eyes meet. In his hand is a pretty bouquet of flowers.

He walks past your colleagues towards you. The handsome captain does attract a glance or two, and part of you can't suppress a proud grin as your colleagues watch him greet you with a gentle kiss and hand you the flowers.

"Do you like them?" he asks gently with his disarming smile.

With a nod you say dreamily, "They are beautiful, thank you Rex".

Out of the corner of your eye you see the curious looks of your work colleagues, Rex has noticed them too by now and you can tell he is starting to feel uncomfortable under their stares.

"When can you leave work?" he asks, trying to tune out the others present.

"Fifty standard minutes."

Rex smirks again, kisses your cheek and whispers, "I'll wait for you outside."

You watch him leave again, pretty much everyone does. You can't blame them, Rex is a handsome guy with a calm but strong presence.

You can't wait for the last fifty minutes of work to be over and finally jump into Rex's arms. You don't know why he is back earlier than he said, but you'll find out soon enough. The most important thing is that he is back now.

You beam all over and enjoy the feeling of knowing that you won't go home to your apartment alone tonight.

Can you tell I love clones? Because I do. I love them all, and I love this big soft Captain just as much. Do I have a thing for seeing grown men cry? Maybe, because I guess watching him cry in Clonewars just didn’t stab me in the heart deep enough right?  So if he’s crying, that means I’m crying and I’m bringing you all damn well with me.
