I read “Lipstick on the glass” by kerosceene on AO3 and I have soooo many thoughts and feelings about the inherent queerness of being a clone!

Is it inherently queer to be a clone of an impossible ideal and poisoned against yourself by the hatred of your creator and also alienated from the organizations/systems/institutions that should support you by the circumstances of your creation? To be otherized by forces outside your control and then blamed for your own existence and for not meeting standards you never agreed to follow and also treated suspicion because of what you are without any knowledge of who you are? To be assigned an identity at birth that fits like spandex in that it never lies flat the way you want and is poorly suited to any weather and shows too much of your physical form and gets into cracks that make you uncomfortable and is flimsy enough that your movement feels limited because you want it off but you don’t want it to tear while on you because that would be too revealing and would just be another form of you losing control of a situation already overwhelmingly out of your hands? Yes. Yes it it.
