When you realize he is close-minded and immature and actually, finally begin to move on???
what signs would you say is the most to least open-minded?
this is a very blanket statement (obviously) but i usually say ⬇️
1. mutable 2. cardinal 3. fixed
you have to take in account all your placements.
like a fixed moon will have unmovable (sometimes) radical beliefs + be emotionally stubborn but a mutable moon is 100% open to change and advice from others.
We don't talk much about our spirituality and religion here. (For good reason. It's a controversial topic, even within us-Crew.) But if there's one thing we-Crew can all agree on, it's that, no matter what our faith, there are some people who just really, really bother us. The "science is manmade and therefore can't be trusted" mindset common among some groups of Christians, and the resulting way they treat any evidence they might not be completely right? My grandma had a little card attached to her bathroom mirror that perfectly summed up that belief set: "God said it, I believe it, that settles it!" Can't. *Stand*. That. Equally so on the other side of things. "It's spiritual so it's fake, Science has proven it." So basically, "Science said it, I believe it, that settles it." Where's y'all's sense of wonder? Curiosity? Adventure? Both kinds of closemindedness seem to lack that, and it really bothers us.
I figure Lysander would be one of the more close-minded boys. He's always stricken me as somewhat stiff and unyielding when it comes to his values. He normally doesn't verbalize his displeasure, so that he comfortably sticks to his assumptions instead of confronting the person about those.
Death of Critical Thinking and AI to Closed-Mindedness and Racism
Wow! Talk about disappointment – not the paper mind you, but comments from a couple of individuals commenting on the topic. A few days ago, I wanted to see what Joan Westenberg’s slant was on her paper “The Death of Critical Thinking Will Kill Us Long Before AI”. Here are the first two paragraphs from the paper (only a 7-minute read): We have witnessed a multi-generational decline in reading…
NOBODY CAN SAY I DIDN'T TRY
NOBODY CAN SAY I DIDN’T TRY
A few years ago, when I was still online dating, I came across the profile of a cute Latino. His profile indicated that he lived near me and that he, like myself, enjoyed running. Once we started talking the conversation flowed like water. We spoke, consistently, for a few weeks before we decided to meet up. All seemed to be going well, but he kept giving me random reasons why he couldn’t meet me…
