Abraham Lincoln visiting soldiers.
The gun John Wilkes Booth used to assassinate President Lincoln
The chair he sat in that night and the blanket that was draped on his lap. The blood stains are still visible.
The flag used to rest his head on that night. Blood stains are still there.
The clothes President Lincoln wore that fateful night.
The room he died in.
His death bed.
Lincoln's casket at the
New York City Hall
In 1900 Lincoln's grave was in need of repair. So his casket was reburied a few feet away. It took 18 months to complete the New gravesite that stands today. This is a photo of the temporary grave being reopened. The pine box that Lincoln's casket was placed is visible.
A lock of Lincoln's hair.
It Comes in Waves will be on repeat on damn day. Holy fuckin SHIT YALL.
“When you read the [series] books in the wrong order, you meet [the characters] not at the beginning of their story, but in the middle. Certain things have already happened to them, and if you want to find out more about their histories, you have to read the earlier books. Now, to my mind, this is much more faithful to real life. For example, here I am meeting the great Hercule Poirot for the first time! I know only what I see of him and what he says to me in the present moment. But if I find him interesting enough--and I most certainly do--then I will endeavor to learn more about his past adventures.”
