Finding captions for your movies
You know how unfair it is that downloaded (*coughpiratedcough*) movies/tv shows are hardly ever captioned?
Here, I have the medicine for that - databases of captions for movies and TV shows:
http://subscene.com/
http://www.opensubtitles.org/
Here is how it works: Download the media of your choice. Use one of these sites to find the CC/subs that match what you just downloaded (I personally use Subscene). Put the caption file in the same folder as your media file.
I use VLC media player, start the movie/show, go up to the menus at the top, click “Subtitle”, then “add subtitle”, then browse and find the cc/sub file and click on it and HAPPY DAYS, WE NOW HAVE THOSE COOL WORDS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN SO WE CAN UNDERSTAND STUFF!
Hey, did you know Walgreens is selling over-the-counter asthma medicine that hasn’t been proven to work?! I made a video about it because it makes me really upset, and they need to STOP selling expensive water masquerading as medicine.
