I went to a pysanky painting event on campus today, and realized almost immediately that my hands were TOO shaky to properly paint like that..,,, ,,so I made a clown egg.
He looks VERY haunted and roughly every 15 seconds I started giggling at the concept of him. His name is John R. Sponge.
Clowns DO lay eggs. But they do it to avoid reproduction.

One night while lamenting about Joker to Phantom, Phantom asks him a few odd questions. Joker's not a real clown, of course he wouldn't have an egg? Maybe he should've been concerned when Phantom said he'd take care of it.
He wasn't prepared for Batman to call him because of the Joker. No, not because of Joker, but for Joker. Apparently a bunch of clowns were beating up Joker for giving clowns a bad name.
It was the funniest night of Dick's life.

I am hoping to get the Grim pins funded because they will have glittery yolks and rainbow metal instead of black metal (the glitter does cost more which is why it’s a stretch goal) because can you imagine walking around with a cute pin of a clown revealing its gooey friendly center on you?
GOSH I love clowns. Also for US-based backers I’m reasonably certain you’ll get the pins before Pride, based on when I expect to have the pins in my possession and how long it takes to mail them out.

We are getting closer and closer! It’s 900 dollars to make the batch of normal egg clowns and get all the shipping materials and ship them TO people, the stretch goal of $1600 total gets a second batch of slightly fancier Grim Eggs (there will be glitter and rainbow treated metal for Grim, my fanciest boy) and the same manufacturer will also make matchy stickers of the clowns for another ... it’s either 320 or 350, I don’t have it in front of me right now, BUT, if I get to 2000$ there will be matching stickers for each pin. The current reward tiers are $15 for one pin (and - 1 sticker if it gets unlocked?) $30 for 2 pins + stickers, and $45 for 2 pins + stickers + a hand drawn picture of a clown eating breakfast foods. The pins are 1.5″ across with 2 prongs and the rubber .... prong-grabbers... so they’re a lil bit hefty lol
Also just as a fun fact I did start doing some rough sketches for future clown egg sets if this one does well enough, including Halloween Clown Egg and Valentines Clown Egg, hehehe. Also based on the pin people’s estimates I might have the pins at my house and ready to ship by early-mid May, meaning people should have their clown eggs in time for Pride >:3
