𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐃𝐀𝐘 , THUNDER RATTLED EVERY BUILDING all across the isle . and so too did the very skies tremble at the WRATH OF THOR . lightning ripped through the firmaments of the hazy twilight , and STRUCK DOWN WITH THE MIGHT OF ANCIENT STARS upon earth's glimmer - gold barrier . blue fire erupted in arcing lances across its face . the aura shimmered . splintered . CRACKED . SHATTERED WITH A PIERCING RING . all as , with a MIGHTY ROAR , did sovereign warrior swing his axe and strike true .

but for all that thor had bid himself BE SWIFT as the northern winds .

ne'er was there there a war waged without cost .

THUNDER BELLOWED OUT THE ALL - FATHER'S WRATH AS MOUNTAIN'S CHILD WAS PIERCED BY DEMON'S FOUL FIGHT ; AS CHILD OF MIDGARD PALED AND CRUMPLED . LIGHTNING CRASHED DOWN FROM THE SKIES ABOVE , AND TURNED THE AMBER SKIES A BRIGHT AND BLAZING BLUE .

ITS TWISTED FORM FLEW BACKWARDS . HIS AXE ROSE TO MEET IT , CLEAVING APART ITS MIMICRY OF BODY IN TWO . TO THE BLAZING , WHITE - HOT FIRE OF STORMS CAME ONE COMMAND : TURN . AND SO IT OBEYED . THE LIGHTNING ARCED AND CONSUMED THE BEAST IN FURY . IT SCREECHED AND FLAILED , BURNED AND DECAYED . IN MERE INSTANTS , REDUCED TO ASHES IN THE CRYSTALIZED DIRT AND DUST .

then and only then did the clouds shift from their ceaseless tumbling , though dark and sunken grey did they remain . alone in the dusty quiet for only but one moment thus , THOR HEAVED IN BREATH beneath death's weight . but only for a moment .

❝ — ᚱᚢᚾᚨᛘᚬᚱ . ❞ his voice rumbled through the forest . though static still rolled down his shoulder , thor flew to her side in an instant , and cocooned the child's wire - thin frame in the fold of him . her head laid to rest against the unsteady beat of ancient heart . he was careful to put himself between waif's sight and the remnants of gold - dust and light . gentle as war - calloused hand caressed the face of the innocent .

"but he also told me that to receive one's bounty , we must be appropriately dressed . he and cucumber are looking to fetch their own outfits now . so i'm glad that you've decided to join us."

Young Adventurers

The sound of splashing echoed through the tunnels of Sonata Station as Sora and Luna stepped out from the stairwell and out towards another platform. Sora glanced to his friend and gave her a bit of a smile before stepping towards the abandoned platform and towards the gap in the floor which held the steel rails for the train.

The silence was deafening. That was until the occasional drip of water was heard. The light that snuck its way through the cracks in the floor lit up the station enough to distinguish certain shapes and objects on the platform, but wasn't enough to see down the tunnels the train would travel through, causing Sora enough unease to summon his Keyblade with a mighty sheen and sparkle of light.

"Be careful... We don't know what's here... I hope that girl is safe, but this place doesn't seem friendly..."

*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧ RIGHT WHEN LUNA was about to head out their front door , a TWINKLING LIGHT zipped right in front of the doorknob and stopped her ! no , no , no ! the little jingles seemed to say , punctuated by the fairy's arms drawing a big 'x' in front of her chest.

after placing her hands on her hips to show that she was absolutely serious , fawn pointed towards luna and held up a finger. wait just one second !

and then she was off again , leaving a trail of pixie dust in her wake.

then : noises of things falling , and movement shuffling could be heard from outside of fawn's room. within moments , fawn was flying back , carrying a wreath two sizes far too big for her — and an absolutely perfect size to slip onto luna's wrist. it was woven of leaves , tiny white and yellow flowers , acorns and twirling vines curled and braided to a fairy's touch. even now , it glittered and glowed with pixie dust.

when it was safely secured on luna's person , fawn fluttered back and stuck her tongue out in deep thought as she took all of luna in. no , no , fawn , it was DEFINITELY the right call.

٠ ࣪⭑ Breathe in. Breath out. Now wasn't the time to chicken out. He stood at her door, rubbing his hands together. Nervous was the best way to describe his current state.

With a shaky hand, he knocked on the door...

And waited...

" L-luna? " He knocked on the door again. Listening, waiting again. He hadn't seen her since the moss, and he was worried... no. No he couldn't have been too late.

Anxiety raced in his heart, every worst-case scenario came screaming into his head as he thought about what could've happened or where she could be. ( he should've done more. he should've saved her. lousy hero he was... )

Positivity was hard right now. All he wanted was for his friend to be okay.

" L-Luna, please... it's me... Cucumber? "

𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 since returning from the hollow and with its passage came a fount of wayside worries . he had bid luna rest , and kept silent vigil staunchly over her bedside as luna had recovered from her ordeal . thor's own thoughts swarmed in him , replaying all that he had witnessed . in truth , even now , he felt within himself an all - too - familiar churning . but the distraction of overseeing that the young lark ate something now that she had awoken from her slumber was a far more pressing matter . and so the warm soup at her side - table would suffice .

𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐒 𝐈𝐒𝐋𝐄'𝐒 shores was to remain each day suffocating in the wake of his own absence within the nine realms. his dreams , if they could ever be called that , recalled their sunken faces covered in dirt , blood , grime and ash. then recalled still how hands had clung to his cape , soiling the the fabric as he'd tolled the names of the dead , the lost , and those who had survived. perhaps another all-father might rave , beside himself at the audacity of commoner's dirtied hands and rivers of tears. but all thor had seen then was the grief of his people. cold and dark and heavy. he felt in himself the weight of every loss as though it were his own. ( if he was asgard's molten gold , his cape the same red of asgard's once-proud banners , then thor felt that the dust and dirt to stain his royal hem was fitting . asgard the people wept for their legion dead. it was thor's burden to bear the striking lash of each name he added to it. )

each day was counted in mortal months , weeks , days and hours. and for each sorry , sordid day spent far away from his people thor could only rue the moment they had looked up and found in him their golden child.

he couldn't escape this planet. even as it fell ill all around him he could do nothing to sway the tide of the "nightmare moss'" infestation. still , thor would not rest contented with that. the aevum realm was hardly one of his own , but he had alighted upon it all the same. and so he would toil against the tides of reckoning that consumed the isle beneath the light of the blue moon.

his work had led him first to the archives with his brother. then deep into the decrepit ruins with his flame-haired friend. but thor would not rest with such little known and such little done , and carved out in himself the WILL to continue as exhaustion foxed the edges of his mind. ( he felt them. his people . like shadows lingering just outside his vision . like hands clawing and clinging to his boots / pants / cape — ) he turned a corner on his return to the guild headquarters. behind the trunk of one tree and slumped against the next , the mangled corpse of an asgardian child , befelled by surtur's infernal flames , eyes accusatory and wide open and mouth agape with the whisper of asgard's scorn upon her lips – leering at him. the mighty thor faltered. blinked.

there was no asgardian girl. there was— another.

❝  — ᛒᚬᚴᚴᛁᚱ . ❞ ( damn . ) one foot fell before the other. in a rush of movement he had snapped mossy tendrils from his boot and crouched at her side in an instant. ❝  child, ❞ he called. then , placed a hand upon her shoulder. ( shook it as lightly as he could - aware of a primordial strength within his fingertips that could move mountains . ) ❝  luna. this is no place to rest. not at this time , young one. ❞

Wayfinder

Summer was the best time of the year in Sora's eyes. Back at Destiny Islands, Summertime meant that all the kids would be going to the hangout island to play, but that was over a year ago at this point. Even though Sora missed it, he was glad to spend summer with new friends that he had made, and one of said friends was Fawn!

He wanted to surprise Fawn! Donald had helped him make a few treats to bring over so that way he could give her a gift while he was at it.

Good thing there wasn't a long walk to Fawn's and Luna's. They were only a few houses down, so about a five or so minute walk and Sora didn't mind! He loved where he resided even if it were temporary.

On the front steps, Sora knocked a cute little knock to the tempo of a popular RPG game unbeknownst to him. He waited for a moment. Two moments. And then decided to knock again.

"Fawn? Are you home?! Luna?! Are you home too? Is Fawn there?!" He called out, hoping for some sort of answer at least.
