If that list of the Putin Caucus members is too small to see, here's a link to the official vote tally by the Clerk of the US House.
The AYE votes for the Gaetz Amendment are mostly from Republicans in deep red districts. But there are a few exceptions like Lauren "Beetlejuice" Boebert who won by less than 550 votes last year and may be vulnerable in 2024.
Ukrainians have values similar to those of Americans. By attempting to sabotage Ukraine, the House Putin Caucus is demonstrating how anti-American it is.
ON A SIDE NOTE: To give you some idea of the sort of people the House Putin Caucus is supporting, check out this video. It's from YouTube user @RFU who posts daily reports on the war. This is for Day 571 (Sunday).
In the east of Ukraine, Russian troops attempted to surrender to Ukraine. But Russian forces further back opened fire on the surrendering Russians rather than on the Ukrainian troops. It was not an accident. Essentially, Russians are committing war crimes against their own soldiers.
This shouldn’t need to be said in 2023, but forcing teenagers to become parents isn’t good for the teenagers, the baby or society in general
At this rate, Lauren Boebert will become a great-grandmother at 53.
Congratulations to Republican congresswoman Lauren Boebert who is becoming a grandma at the tender age of 36. Speaking at a Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Moms for America event on Tuesday, the Colorado congresswoman shared the news that her 17-year-old son is expecting a baby with his teenage girlfriend in April.
Boebert is famous for her far-right views and for stunts like putting out an advert explaining why she’s going to carry a gun in Congress. In 2021 she also posted an infamous Christmas card photo of her four sons, two of whom are very young, brandishing rifles in front of a Christmas tree. She is, in short, an incorrigible attention-seeker who spends more time stoking culture wars than she does producing legislation.
Republicans used to be shocked by out-of-wedlock births. But that’s when they were more common among black people. Now white supremacists, worried about the so called “great replacement theory” and “population collapse” (meaning white population), are cranking out more babies regardless of marital status.
Speaking at the CPAC event, the extremely anti-abortion Boebert said that her biggest fear was whether her son and his partner “would choose life”. When they did, she was so proud that she decided to turn them into a parable about rural family values.
“There’s something special about rural conservative communities,” Boebert effused. “They value life. If you look at teen pregnancy rates throughout the nation, well, they’re the same, [in] rural and urban areas. However, abortion rates are higher in urban areas. Teen moms’ rates are higher in rural conservative areas, because they understand the preciousness of a life that it’s about to be born.”
Well, perhaps that’s one reason teenage mothers are more prevalent in rural areas. Perhaps another reason is that the teenage girls are unable to access a safe and legal abortion and are forced to give birth when they’re unprepared to be parents.
I would gently offer the suggestion that Democrats need to devote more attention to rural areas. Routinely ceding these places to Republicans or campaigning on issues solely designed to appeal to the urban and suburban base will only continue the trend of unrepresentative government which leads to GOP control even though Republicans make up a minority of voters.
Access to abortion is one way to reduce teenage pregnancies. Quality sexual health education in schools is another. Boebert, of course, is against both. At another CPAC event, Boebert said she wants to cut funding for “comprehensive sex ed”, stating it shouldn’t be taught to “any student in a public school”. She’s obviously not the only Republican with this view, conservatives have been increasingly attacking sexual education in schools in recent years and pushing abstinence-only programs. It won’t surprise you to hear that a wealth of evidence shows that abstinence-only programs don’t work. Rather, they’re a great way to generate a lot more 36-year-old grandmothers.
With more effort and attention to CO-03, perhaps Dems can flip the district in 2024 and thereby allow Lauren Boebert to spend more time at home with the grandkids. So vote Democratic for family values!
Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert announced Wednesday that she will run in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District in 2024 as Republicans look to
Kaanita Iyer at CNN:
Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert announced Wednesday that she will run in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District in 2024 as Republicans look to keep their narrow House majority.
Among the most conservative members of the chamber, Boebert had been expected to face a tough reelection bid in Colorado’s 3rd District in the Western part of the state.
“It’s the right move for me personally, and it’s the right decision for those who support our conservative movement,” she said in her announcement video. “Colorado’s 4th District is hungry for an unapologetic defender of freedom with a proven track record of standing strong for conservative principles.”
The eastern Colorado district is currently represented by Republican Rep. Ken Buck, who announced last month that he will not seek reelection.
Boebert said she did not “arrive at this decision easily” and said she was driven by “Hollywood elites and progressive money groups,” whom she accused of “buying” the 3rd District seat.
Earlier this year, Democrat Adam Frisch – who narrowly lost to Boebert in 2022’s midterm elections – announced he would again mount a campaign to unseat her in 2024.
Boebert won her 2022 race by just 546 votes. Trump won the same district by about 8 percentage points in 2020, while he won the 4th District by about 19 percentage points.
A staunch ally of Donald Trump, Boebert reiterated her support for the former president’s White House bid in her announcement video. She listed putting “a stop to Bidenomics” as a key platform of her reelection campaign while blaming President Joe Biden for inflation.
Scandal-ridden Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has vacated the competitive #CO03 in favor of the solidly Republican #CO04 currently held by the retiring Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) in a bid to keep her in Congress past early January 2025 without worries about being forced into a fight to hold her seat every two years in the general.
Adam Frisch, the Democrat who came close to beating Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) in last year’s midterms, raised three times more than the
Lauren Boebert only narrowly was re-elected to the US House last year. Her Democratic opponent Adam Frisch is running again in 2024 and he has greatly outpaced the far right Boebert in fundraising.
Adam Frisch, the Democrat who came close to beating Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) in last year’s midterms, raised three times more than the incumbent in second-quarter fundraising as he seeks a 2024 rematch.
Frisch’s campaign reported bringing in $2.6 million from April through June, which is more than triple Boebert’s roughly $818,000, the Colorado Sun reports.
It’s the second quarter in a row Frisch has outraised Bobert — he raised $1.7 million in the first quarter, while Boebert reportedly brought in around $764,000.
Frisch’s campaign earlier this month said the second-quarter amount they raised breaks the record “for the largest quarterly fundraising for a U.S. House challenger in the year before an election, excluding special elections and self-funded campaigns.”
Boebert won by the narrowest margin of any House member of the 118th Congress.
Money is important but it's votes that really matter. If you know anybody eligible to vote in CO-03, try to get them energized about next year's rematch.
The district is HUGE – it takes up almost half the state.
If you are thinking of moving to Colorado and would like to have a large political footprint, CO-03 may be the right place!
Alex Walker is a Democrat who is running against extremist QAnon nutcake Rep. Lauren Boebert in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District.
Running against a high profile GOP incumbent in a leaning red district is not an easy task. So Walker opened his campaign with an ad which is designed to get a lot of attention.
The ad is a reminder that we don’t defeat Republicans by putting unicorns on our campaign logos or by baking D-shaped cookies. It’s necessary to hit Republicans hard and hit them repeatedly with messages which resonate in the localities or regions they’re running.
People who don’t understand the importance of repeating a simple message constantly when running for office have no business in election campaigns.
It’s tough sledding for Democrats in CO-03, but Walker is off to a good start. If he wishes to be in contention then he needs to keep up the pace.
If you’re in Colorado then make sure you’re registered to vote. If you know anybody who lives in CO-03 then remind them to register and send them Alex Walker’s vid.
REMEMBER: If you moved since the last election then you need to register at your new location. Voter registration goes by the address of your residence; even if you’ve moved two doors down, you need to register with the new address. And when registering, use your legal name as it appears on your state ID or license. Don’t give a Republican election official an excuse to prevent you from voting.
I Will Vote

In case you’ve forgotten, Lauren Boebert (R-CO-03) is part of the House Wacko-Bird Caucus which includes the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jim “Gym” Jordan, Jody Hice, Madison “History Buff” Cawthorn, Paul Gosar, Louie Gohmert, and Matt “I swear, she said she was 18″ Gaetz – just to give you a partial list. Their unswerving devotion to the Dear Leader is exceeded only by their total lack of attachment to objective reality.
Rep. Boebert is particularly noted for her deranged videos. So as an experiment, Jimmy Kimmel showed portions of some of her vids to random people in California. I won’t spoil it by revealing much more. 😋
