Story Concept #4 that would have been more interesting than what we got in the Flipside: Literally anything that would have made Jecka and Karen's relationship the forefront of the route.
The fact they had a former friendship is severely underutilized, both comedically and narratively.
The Feetside
Story Concept #2 that would have been more interesting than what we got in the Flipside:
Since the divorce of Jecka's parents, Nicole and Jecka find out that their parents are dating, and thus run the risk of combining the worst aspects of their parenting styles.
Does anybody else wonder what kind of person Nicole was exactly before she came to her current high school beyond just "tried to fit in more?" Like I heard someone bring up a good point once about how she inexplicably had enough familiarity with manga to know they read right to left. That implies she had enough interest to pick one up and read it. She was probably still a little out of control, but maybe she was more of a geek like Jeffrey before she gained enough experience to be who she was when we see her in the games?
Would Nicole react to the explosion of feminism and social justice in mainstream media in like 2015 by completely embracing it, as another way to hurt men for fun, or would she be like "lmao blue hair and pronouns."
Story Concept #1 that would have been much more interesting than what we got in the Flipside:
Nicole is backed into a corner by someone trying to victimize her, so she straight up kills them in self-defense. She ends up getting away with the first murder, but circumstances demand that she kills someone else who knows about the first murder to keep them quiet. At first it's to protect herself, but then she manages to find more and more nebulous reasons to justify her killing more people who are only vaguely a threat to her getting exposed for the murders. Jecka finds out about what Nicole is doing somehow and Nicole tries to justify herself saying "they all deserved it" but Jecka calls her out and accuses her of doing it because of a sadistic bloodlust. Jecka could either get killed herself or could end up seeing Nicole go to prison.
Fuck it. This is a fandom blog, now.
