I think I noticed something about the PTA.
They didn't seem to respect Vanessa (whose daughter is one of the Pickles' best players)...
Or Coach Dan (who makes sure every kid on the team is safe and treated equally).
But are shown to be quite friendly with James (whose daughter's a great player but has only been on the team for a year).
Why is this? Like Vanessa and Dan, he's a single parent. And given how those two are treated, shouldn't James be treated the same way?
But then I thought about it some more and came up with a theory.
Vanessa and Dan fall into a category of parents that are looked down upon. Single/teen mom (Rochelle is 13, Vanessa is 30, the math reveals all) & a Divorcee.
As for James, we don't know what kind of single parent he is. Now, here's my theory, James is a Widower. And no matter how condescending and passive-aggressive we've seen the PTA be, everyone knows being that way to Widows/Widowers is NOT a good look.
