Fitness apps for success.
Best Fitness Apps:
1. MyFitnessPal - This fantastic app allows you to scan barcodes to input your food. It also allows you to search for foods with a large database of choices to choose from. The best part of this is that it provides a way for you to track all of your food on your smart phone. The other giant advantage of this app is that it allows you to track your workouts. You can either manually type in calories burned or choose from a workouts in cardio or strength categories. At the end of the day you submit your daily log and the app calculates what you would weigh in 5 weeks if you keep on a similar eating/workout pattern. Best of all, it's FREE! Seriously, download it. It has helped me so much.
2. Charity Mile - I love this app because it uses your workout for good. Not only can you feel great about getting a run in, you can feel great about having donated to a good cause. You can choose from a list of charities and log your walk, run, or bike ride. For each mile you log, the app makes a monetary donation. The only catch is that you have to post to facebook about it. But it's a great cause!
3. WaterMinder - For .99 you can download an app that will remind you when it's time to grab a glass. 4. Map My Fitness - This app is a GPS based fitness app. It allows you to record every detail of your workout - duration, distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories burned, and route traveled on an interactive map. Those are my favorites. What are yours?
