Cocoa Bean Cookie is a CRK MysticCacao fan kid by @foolnamedjoey !! While I don’t personally ship it, I liked her design and thought it would be fun to draw her with my OC, Creme de Minthe Cookie!! A warrior raised by the Dark Cacao kingdom, but born as an outsider. While her dough isnt quite used to the frosty nature of the kingdom, she works hard to be a proud warrior of her home. And I thought it would be cool to draw her as a bodyguard for Cocoa Bean Cookie. :3

The "Protesting corrupt government" demonstration was over. I just want to tell you all I'm safe. Back to normal life, work as usual and back to The Sims related and talking about other non-sims thing to keep myself being productive.

Believe it or not, I had just know Roti Meses / Broodje Hagelslag a Dutch food recently, in year 2024. While I ate them when I was a child in school, and nobody told me Roti Meses was actually from Netherlands...

I thought it was ordinary western food known internationally including USA, later found on internet it is only famous in Netherlands, Belgium, and former Dutch colonies.

That was why I chose Roti Meses, in original Dutch language it is called Broodje Hagelslag. The Dutch sandwich with chocolate sprinkles.

I ate Roti Meses again after more than 20 years, because the last time I ate Roti Meses when I was a child in school. Yes... seriously. The combination of chocolate, margarine, and bread is sweet, so it can give me sugar boost before I went to gym and jogging👍.

For Western food chosen for custom meal CC, I do have strict rules. - No typical mainstream USA fast food and mainstream European food that are already famous internationally. So no burger, no pizza, no pretzel. - Doesn't have representation in The Sims game 2,3,4. - I have eaten them in real life, so that I know the taste. - Never have a chance to eat them, technically impossible or have some allergy to that food.

Then I chose food from Netherlands. So far I haven't seen representation of Dutch food in The Sims game. One of my consideration is that because my country was a former colony of the Netherlands from the early 17th century, when the name was Dutch East Indies. (Now Indonesia after declared independence in 1945.)

Throughout history, Dutch food have been inherited here, some have been assimilated to Indonesian food and became integral part of food culture in Indonesia.

Below are my photos. This bread has Meses from Ceres brand, "48% cocoa Dark Chocolate" variant.

Very easy to find Meses (Chocolate sprinkles) in nearby supermarkets and minimarkets, as easy as finding rice, because Meses are considered as ordinary food as Indonesian food, no longer "western foreign" imported product. They are produced by local factories.

The difference is: The cocoa percentage for original Dutch Hagelslag has higher percentage of cocoa compared to Indonesian's common cheap variant of Meses that usually has (9-11% cocoa), thus has more intense chocolate flavour. In the Netherlands, a product must have at least 35% cocoa to be classified as Hagelslag. Source: batiqa.com Yes there are more than 35% cocoa Indonesian Meses brands and variants sold here with more expensive price, Such as Ceres, the Classic variant (34,8% cocoa), Dark Chocolate variant (48%) and Ritz (37% cocoa), must be because they are products of company inherited by Dutch.

As Indonesia is the third of largest cocoa producers in the world (after African countries) exported cocoa beans to many countries, including your (western) country, the cocoa used for local Meses brands must be local cocoa. Ceres is the most famous brand for Meses in Indonesia. The company was built in Dutch colonial era, as the first chocolate company in Indonesia, under name Ceres N.V. inherited from Dutch and Chinese-Indonesian entrepreneurs, rebranded as PT (Limited Liability Company in English language) Ceres in year 1950. Aside from cheap variants and brands, below is premium brand, Ritz. Produced by Ceres.

For the butter itself, Indonesian people mainly use margarine instead of butter. Because in here, butter is imported dairy product from New Zealand, France, Denmark, Netherlands, thus very expensive food component, therefore using margarine, vegetable oil spread, as cheaper solution. Butter is mainly used for premium cake. Yes, there is famous butter brand, Wijsman Butter from Netherlands, usually for Spekkoek or Kue Lapis Legit. Definitely I'm not going to use Wijsman Butter or any imported butter products only to eat simple and cheap Roti Meses for quick and fun breakfast.

Meses are used a lot in many bread products and donuts, no longer has to add on white bread. So Meses are already integral part of food in Indonesia. I forgot to take pictures of them, here the pictures on internet.

To Dutch people wondering are they welcomed visiting Indonesia because past history of colonization... No worries, you are very welcomed here. You are not going to be discriminated. Tourists from Netherlands are treated very well here like other tourists. We don't hate Dutch people, we hate our government. 😄

Visit Jakarta, now is safe to visit after demonstration. You will find many buildings made by Dutch in the past. Museum Fatahillah, Kastil Batavia (Kasteel Batavia), Gudang Tua - Scheepswerf - VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) that used to store spices and shipyard.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY COCOA BEAN

Rating her party on a scale of 0-3 cats

CAKE - 🐈‍⬛ only one cat, the birthday girl did not enjoy her cake. Other cats appreciated the frosting.

BIRTHDAY HAT - 0 cats. She hated wearing it. Scratched my friend. (Victim pictured) We took it off immediately. Will not be put on her ever again.

CATNIP TOYS - 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ 3/3 cats, much loved, can’t go wrong with catnip.

BUTTERFLY/WORM SPINNY TOY THING - 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ 3/3 cats, scrumptious nearly broke it, bean flopped on the floor and took a nap to recover from the excitement.

FREEZE DRIED MINNOWS - 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ two cats, none of them will eat the fish without me breaking it up first. I find the experience to be quite disturbing.

Now for a trip down memory lane, to celebrate her making it to 12 months!

Our beloved Bean was born in a shed, where she lived for 4 weeks. Her mother was missing for over 24 hours, so the owners of the shed + their neighbor's children set out with butterfly nets to capture the beast and her litter mate. The litter mate did not survive, and the mother was never seen again, but the ever resilient Bean carried on.

She made new friends (and lost one), developed a hatred for fruit, and an obsession with Scrumptious' prescription food for her IBD.

She lost teeth, she grew teeth, she won the war on roundworm, she got spayed, she terrorized the elderly and disabled.

But most importantly, she learned to love, and trust, and be a house cat.

True fan of your yandere works (literally they're so fuckin scrumptious) I noticed on your masterlist that you said you won't write for dumbification but the last ask you answered you said that they wouldn't stop until you're brainless? Ah! Its fine, I feel I could've worded it better, but to me dumbification is when they call you stupid, make you feel like an idiot, treat you like an object and truly dont care for how they treat you.

Its a bit of a hard kink to really pin point so some things I'm ok with but if its asked for outright I tend to turn away. Dumbification is becoming a bit less of a squick for me as I'm overcoming certain things, but since it's still so finicky I try to keep it as an umbrella term for now.

However being brainless can mean "Blissed out" "completely relaxed" "high" but not necessarily dumb and or stupid! I tend to get squicked when they make the victim out to be this idiot who doesn't deserve love or to feel good and is only this piece of garbage that is too stupid to fend for themselves

But! I've read some works that make me see that it can be positive too but with what I suffered at 15 and 16 with an older ex, and childhood abuse where I was berated and called dumb, stupid, worthless and so on, (and still do as I live with an abuser) I still get uncomfortable and even upset when this is brought up in fics and such.

No shade to those who do enjoy it, I see the appeal! Its just a hard area for me and while I'm trying to explore myself, I still am unsure of my boundaries and prefer to keep it as a broad term for now until I figure myself out more!

Just a few little drawing this week! Beans are great. So how about Pokémon based on a cocoa bean? Chocolate calf to emulate a chocolate miltank, and a chocolate bunny version.
