Background:
Submissives were properly/slaves until about a century (100 years) ago. They were illiterate and controlled by dominants. They are now legal citizens with full rights as Dominants and Switches.
Dominants and Submissives have levels 1 (least effected by people) to level 10 (most effected or effects the most people). Switches only go up to level 5 since they are both. Based on their level, determines how often or how long they need to go into sub- or domspace.
In school, children are taught the following:
Dominants are the ones who command.
Have the most power.
Submissives are the ones who obey.
Treated as second class citizens and slavery still occurs internationally.
Switches are the ones who decide.
They have the most freedom when it comes to the designation.
Designation presents in puberty, between 9 and 13 years old. Level is determined…somehow. It’s all confirmed by blood tests.
Dominants have a “Dom voice” which is able to control submissives. It affects all submissives of the Dom’s level and below.
Submissives are not taught this skill (but do have it) and have not known to use it in centuries. Submissives who have the “Sub voice” affect all dominants of their level or below.
Level 10s are special because they are rare. Level 10 submissives can only be controlled by a level 10 Dominant (I don’t know why I decided this. It just came to me). Level 10 Submissives cannot control a Level 10 Dominant. Level 10 Dominants are considered the “Dominant of Dominants” (like a man’s man). Level 10 Submissives are the obedient of the obedient.
Using “Dom voice” and “Sub voice” actually aids in bonding. D/s relationships is supposed to be a consensual/mutual power exchange but a level of equality is needed which is what the “voice” allows.
Unstable Dominants become aggressive and hostile to everyone especially other dominants; “Dom voice” is always activated. They become territorial and possessive of submissives. Have been known to kidnap submissives to unconsciously stabilize themself and abuse them.
Unstable Submissives eventually end up obeying everyone, even other submissives. They lose the ability to resist dominant commands. They seek out any and all dominants as an unconscious was to stabilize themself.
Bonds are emotional and physiological. When a Dom and Sub bond, they can feel each other’s emotions and pleasure. It’s a way to bring them closer and strengthen their connection further (for procreation purposes).
Submissives need touch, hugs, cuddles, praise, shows of appreciation, etc to remain healthy.
Dominants need to provide for the Submissive, meet the Submissive’s needs, and have their needs met by the Submissive to remain healthy.
Note:
I view this like an alternative to a/b/o (omegaverse) with more nuance. Dominants are meant to be protectors (guide their children) and caregivers of Submissives. Submissives are meant to be nurturers (teachers to children) and caregivers to their Dominant.
Dominant Ghost—
Ghost.
When presented, was beaten by their low level father into submission to never use his Dom voice.
Rarely uses his “Dom voice”. Uses “Dom Voice” as a means to help/protect 141 or anyone he considers friend.
Negative view on being a dominant, low self esteem unless related to military duties, due to childhood.
Lonely and not sure why (initially).
Prefers taking the dominant medicine, and has been known to abuse it due to tolerances or something to remain stable.

Is unfamiliar with non-sexual intimacy and non-sexual nudity.
Finds it a challenge to get into domspace.
Submissive Reader—
Cheeky. Sassy. Brats to get a reaction. Likes to poke the bear. Genuinely kind and compassionate with a stupid sense of humor (loves “dad jokes”). Knows how to cook. Highly intelligent. High frustration tolerance. Self-teaching computer languages to make sure they will always be useful to the military.
Afraid the military will kick them out if Laswell ever leave
Empathic (sort of)—can sense or feel others’ designation and level within a certain (far) radius. Helps them sense people in the field.
“Sub voice” was taught to them by their level 7 Dominant mother who wanted to protect her submissive child (In my head, the mom is former Mossad. I dont know why); however, they cannot control Ghost.
Can ignore all dominants below them (1-9). Cannot resist Ghost.
Masochist, high pain tolerance

Penetration or sex are not a requirement to go into subspace.
Enjoys non-sexual nudity especially cuddling and literally sleep nude.
Hates the submissive medicine. They get side effects, like stomach upset or something.

In my head, they were kidnapped due to their Mom’s Mossad History and were lost, abused, considered an one of a kind item until Laswell found them. Rescued them. They decided to

Ghost has been getting more aggressive with every mission despite medication doms and subs take to not need a sub or Dom to balance them out. If he can’t be stabilized (controlled), he will be forced to retire.
I don’t know why other than medicine tolerance is an issue for him.
Laswell knows a solution, a level 10 submissive who she rescued and they went into the military for protection from what they were rescued from (no idea what other than they were a slave and have uv tattoos that reveal all their “labels” as a slave including resistance and escaping). Brings this to Price who will try anything. (They’ve tried using multiple switches or subs which has been shown to work with higher level dominants but hasn’t so much with Ghost).
They do personality tests, kink lists., etc on both ghost and submissive reader, and give them each other’s stuff.
Submissive Reader is taken to the 141’s base for this meeting with Ghost in another room. Price goes back and forth between the two. Laswell remains with Reader.
Submissive reader isn’t fully decided but does sense a level 10 dominant (they’ve never met a level 10 anything and neither has Ghost). So, they get up and go straight to him with Laswell and price trying to stop them but they use their voice of them to stop them. 😏
Interrupting the same discussion of Ghost’s, they’re attempted to be stoped but uses their voice again. Ghost is suspicious and observes. Recognizes reader from their pictures.
Reader observes Ghost, ignoring everyone trying to kick them out. Ends up using their voice to kick everyone out and closes the door. Goes over and sits on the table next to Ghost.
Reader tells their observations about Ghost to him. Ghost decides to do the same, amusing Reader. They stand up and look at him asking him to determine location of every weapon on them by sight alone. Ghost points and Reader removes them. He misses one set, their favorite and most deadly—custom-made a thin pair of (name)
on their lower back that matches their hand size and grip. They set them down in front of him. He is fascinated by the blades, examines them. Reader sits back on the table and watches him. That’s when he realizes the reader is the medic who is whirlwind or whirling dervish or whatever nickname because of how they fight.
Reader is trying to impress Ghost. He is The Ghost.
They both agree to the contract. What neither realized is they’d have to move in together and neither are happy about it. Price ends up switching rooms with them.
Soap and Gaz provide commentary during the switch while helping. When Price gets fed up, he glares at them as their Captain and they stop.
Reader is now part of the 141.
On the first night, Ghost and Reader compare notes, exchanging the paperwork they were given on each other. They discuss the paperwork—commenting about everything from personality profile, kinks and preferences, and past experiences in scening. Ghost level aftercare blank. Reader demands to know aftercare for Ghost. Everyone needs it even if they don’t think so. Reader asks what he does on rough days. What he does as when frustrated or tries to calm down.
Reader wants to go slow, build trust before any intense or in-depth scenes. Ghost agrees.
Reader recommends they have a small scene just to get a feel for each other. They discuss safe words, preferred kinks that have made it easier for them to get into subspace, etc. Hisw was honorific is sir.
Reader is naked (initiate true power exchange). Start with a sort of “Simon says” with trained submissive positions and other aspects to see what Reader knows. Reader resets to kneeling with palms up. Ghost decides to do sensation play—fingertips along their skin nearly everywhere. At some point, Ghost decides to kiss their neck and shoulders causing shivers. Check in. Green.
Grabs their hair and pulls their head back and Reader moans. He watches their face which is flush and eyes are becoming glassy. Ghost realizes he is becoming relaxed and calm which he hasn’t been for a while. He slowly lets go, slowly pushing Reader’s head into its original position. He cups their cheeks, looking over their face as if memorizing details, and caresses their cheek. Reader starts to cry and doesn’t realize they’re crying until Ghost asks. They haven’t been treated well in a scene in years and Ghost is making them feel cared for, unexpected. Checks in. Yellow. Reader doesn’t want to stop but can’t seem to calm down and tears keep coming. Ghost calls red, upsetting Reader, and picks them up. He sits on the bed, holding them close to him. Reader just cries, embarrassed. Ghost finds them beautiful when they cry. He sets them on the bed and undresses to his underwear, remembering their aftercare. Reader climbs on top of Ghost and lays down, hugging him, as much skin contact as possible. Reader cries for a while as Ghost rubs their back and holds them close. He doesn’t understand but decides to praise them for how good they were. Reader thanks him and remains silent. It takes a while for them to calm down. After 20 mins or so, he gets up and grabs a water bottle and a granola bar. He has Reader drink half and hand feeds them pieces of the granola until it’s gone. This helps calm Reader down since he is caring for them and meeting their needs. A bit later, they discuss the scene and Reader is embarrassed but admits they haven’t been treated…kindly in a scene in a long time. Ghost becomes angry at their abuse. Reader can feel his tension and cups his face, placing a chaste kiss as an attempt to snap him out of it. Reminds it’s in the past and now they’re here.
They begin to scene once a day at first with simple scenes.
141 train together with the reader working well with everyone. Ghost’s behavior begins to improve. 141 eat all meals together. Reader learns Ghost’s snacks, drinks, and favorite foods. They bake and share it with the 141, not wanting to seem as if they made it just for Ghost.
Gaz and Soap becomes good friends with Reader. Soap and Reader share corny jokes. When Ghost learns they love “dad jokes”, he joins in making Reader easily laugh. It makes him feel good and smile under his mask.
Their scenes grow in intensity. They begin to included sex into their scenes.
Ghost constantly going over Reader’s kink list and limitations as he plans scenes. He gets their favorite snacks and drinks for aftercare.
They talk every evening going over their day just to connect. He learns their hobbies which is creative stuff, like arts and crafts, writing stories and poems, photography, and drawing. He’s impressed with their talent. Tells Johnny draws too.
Reader and Johnny slowly develop into best friends.
Eventually, Ghost tells Reader his name and has them call him Simon, not sir as his honorific. The first
Time they scene afterwards, he loves to hear his name on their lips.
First mission, the Reader ends up saving Johnny and Gaz because they can sense multiple doms and switching (tangos) coming their way—would overpower them. They play it off as heard footsteps.
Once back back on base, Ghost reprimands them for nearly revealing themself and punishes them—scene. Reader is angry and refuses to obey. Ghost finale uses his Dom voice and Reader can’t resist. Ghost spanks them—much of his strength since he knows they have a high pain tolerance—until they’re a sobbing mess, profusely apologizing. He rubs their ass and thighs, and notices how aroused they are. Makes note for later. He easily shifts them into his lap and cuddles them, praising them for his well they took their punishment. He offers a reward. Reader is hesitant since this is the first actual punishment/reward scene. They accept. Ghost slowly, teasingly gets them to orgasm. He doesn’t orgasm. The focus is on them and their punishment/reward, not him.
No one but Price, Laswell, and Ghost know they have “Sub Voice” or empathy.
That’s as far as I’ve gotten. I’m think a total of three missions written out where major things occur.
The next one Reader reveals their expertise in close quarters combat that is comparable to Ghost’s. Johnny makes the comment that he wants to marry them (he’s half-hard). Gaz rolls his eyes, reminds him they’re Ghosts.
[Stuff happens in between]
It isn’t until the third mission Reader ends up revealing their sub voice. They’re overpowered—bad intel. Johnny gets shot. Gaz gets stabbed. Ghost tries to use his Dom voice but quickly muffled; Reader use their sub voice and everything stops. Reader separates the groups. They are cruel in their commands to the tangos—torturing each other and cannot stop until unconscious, death, or an hour goes by. They find a secure place for Reader to patch Soap and Gaz up. Ghost calling for emergency medical evac. They all leave.
Once back to base, Simon and Reader seem to just go into a scene once in their bedroom—they need to calm down and stop the pain and anxiety. It’s intense, very smut, and loving.
