This is the silver bible aka Codex Argentus. It is a 6th century copy of a 4th c. Bible translation into Gothic. This is the main source we have, not only for Gothic language, but for the entire extinct East Germanic language family. It is actually one of the earliest proper written sources for any Germanic language, since the earliest Germanic writings are just short runic inscriptions.
