#coding help needed

If anyone with knowledge of css / html and probably neocities could try to help me with an issue I’d be so thankful because I’m at a complete loss what is happening

To try to organize my neocities site I planned on having things in folders to make it easier to find what I need and not get overwhelmed.

The issue is when I have a web page in a folder and not in the exact same spot as the css.. The css glitches and does weird things. If I take the same code of the pages and put it in the same area as the css it works fine?

What happens when I link to the css instead of making a copy to the same folder

As you can see it’s a sort of major issue. I guess I could just move the css into each folder… but that’s a lot of copies of something and feels like a really weird issue that should have a simple solution but I have no idea what’s causing parts of it to break and padding to go away .-.

hey there! so this request is for a au percy jacksony on jcnik I plan to create within the next few months. i'll send the link to the site to the person I decide to create the skin. IF YOU ARE WANTING A FUN CHALLENGE THIS SKIN IS FOR YOU!!

i have come into some money, and i am ready to pay top dollar for this skin!! this rp is dear to my heart because it's based off a series i want to write and it's all original.

some specifics/vibes/colors/themes i'm looking for in this skin:

sliding header! i love these and I would like staff pics, updates, and plot overview/season/plot event, forum links, and OTMs to be listed all in separate portions of that banner. also would like it if the forum name is hung in there along the entire banner, with different images in each section (if you are good at graphics too I will pay you to do those as well! :3)

COLLAPSIBLE SIDE-BAR. this is not as popular I know now a days, but I would like a collapsible side bar on the left of the skin to be available as well to show things like want ad requests, quote OTM, current events, and other things I will decide later. this will also show the ratios for each godly parent on site.

custom profile. my profile on this site will be headcanons/bullet point based, and i would like a section of the profile in the app to have a main section where it lists the headcanons (up to 12 I think would suffice!) the custom profile will also have ONE large banner image up top, and a pinterest 4 separate square gif/image section toward the mid-section of the app where the headcanons would be. also would have places for the age, sexuality, relationship status, nickname/alias, and things like that (i will give you more info later on this)

custom shipper! pretty standard here. nothing too fancy.

custom forum/catagories/online list. BASICLALY THIS WHOLE SKIN WILL BE CUSTOM.

custom face claim, member directory, etc. I WOULD REALLY LIKE THIS ALL IN ONE PAGE. my thing is is that it will be a directory that includes the faces, occupations, and things of that nature. maybe it could be shown in the members list? idk how that works but i have some places i coudl show you i've seen something of the sort. also, i would like them to be able to be filtered by member name and member group, and maybe other options.

custom thread codes/dev/comms/etc. *I WILL PAY EXTRA FOR EACH ONE OF THESE!

custom usergruops/colors. we'll see about these colors later when we decide on the main site skin colors! (see below)

the blue on the skin is the blue i'd like for the skin. mainly whites with bits of black in it.

the vibes i see this skin as are highly sleek and modern. light and easy on the eyes, elegant but appealing to the eyes that draw you seamlessly throughout the skin.

Responsive Codes: Can I Get Some Help?

I’m backing this post with the hopes that I may be able to find an answer on something that I’ve been trying to make work for a while: how to make my codes responsive to window sizes/screen resolutions.

I’ve scoured through different websites such as w3 schools, css-tricks, bootstrap, overflowstack, etc. trying to find some help with this. I’m utterly lost on how to make my codes, themes, and pages respond fluidly to window sizes/screen resolutions. I’ve tried setting px to percents; nothing happened. I’ve added in meta tags for viewports, and still my codes don’t respond. I’ve read up on jQuery, Javascript, and media-queries, but I don’t quite understand just what I should be doing. I’ve tried out flex displays as well. Nothing seems to make my pages respond to window sizes. Are there any thememakers/coders out there who can offer some insight as to what I should add to my codes to make them responsive?
