This is my gift to @castawaypitch for the @coexchange Baz’s birthday flash round.
Paulina, I was so happy I got you for the exchange. You’re so cool. I hope you liked it. I (tried to) create something for the prompt Soulmates AU. Happy Baz’s fest to you!
The prompt I wound up going with was, obviously, Chapter 48.
I’m sorry it’s not a cool fic, but I hope you appreciate this piece all the same! I learned how to use CSP’s animation function to add a little extra to the piece for the shooting star effect.
My piece for @lostlunaticprincess for the winter @coexchange round! I went with the prompt “spells” because to me the Ladybird scene is one of the most pivotal and important parts of Carry On so I was very happy to be able to make something in tribute to it :)
This is my gift for @srirachafilledbees for the @coexchange!! I never would have considered making a cross stitch for this until I saw your prompt. I decided to include Simon’s sword and Baz’s wand + some of my favorite quotes from each of them. I hope you like it, and happy holidays!! 😁💙💙😁
I've also included some progress shots and close ups beneath the cut
This is for the lovely @caitybuglove23 as part of the fall @coexchange event ❤️Caity, I hope you like it! It’s silly and angsty with a side of snuggles.
Liar, Liar on AO3
Summary:
With only two months left at Watford, Baz and Simon are just trying to make it to the end of the year without killing each other. It's hardly the prime time to adopt a chimera. (Is there ever a good time to adopt a chimera?) Yet after one of Simon's missions goes awry, he and Baz find themselves caring for a surprisingly adorable little monster. This is a story about second chances, personal growth, and learning to trust. But mostly, it's a story about a baby chimera that won't stop setting Baz's bed on fire.
This is for @helplesshoboe for the @coexchange but unfortunately I can’t find them on Tumblr or AO3. Whoever it is, their prompts were “cuddles, texting, friends, baz and penny friendship (they're a power duo!!), pre-wayword son, wing/self care, first few months in the apartment”, I hope they find this eventually :) I decided to draw them cuddling and Simon is wearing Baz’ shirt for extra domestic fluff ^^
I feel like a part of my soul has loved you since the beginning of everything.
Maybe we’re from the same star.

Here's my @coexchange gift for @angelsfalling16 !! Happy holidays, I hope you like this! I made a playlist + a moodboard for your Soulmate AU prompt, with a short (500 words) ficlet for context. You can read it below the cut:
Simon
All it takes is a brush of hands.
Walking through the crowd, I wouldn't have noticed it, but the surge of images and sensations and memories of things yet to happen is too overwhelming to ignore.
I look back, still feeling that faint touch, searching the people around me, looking for the one.
My soulmate.
It's not difficult to find him: the way his eyes are distinctly wide and shining, his hand frozen in the air, still outstretched…
Looking for mine.
Our eyes lock, and I take his hand in a firm grip.
The vision comes back with full force: a glimpse of sunlight and warmth, of laughter and tears, of more touches like this, and more than this.
Of goodbyes—
—And then coming back together.
Of heartbreak and bursting joy.
Of happiness and hopelessness and easiness and quietness.
Of belonging, of love.
It all comes rushing in an instant, engulfing us both: the sounds and tastes and touches and feelings. It's like we're both watching it all unravel through the windows of a train, traveling around the world at light's speed, each scenery blending into the next, making it difficult to figure out the details.
The details of our future.
I'm still staring right into the perfect greyness of this stranger's eyes, and he stares right back at me. Slowly, the vision fades, and then it's just us, standing closer, hands clasped tightly in each other.
No one can explain why it happens, but this is the important part: the moment you touch your soulmate for the first time, you both get a glimpse of your future together. What could be. What's to come if you stick around each other long enough.
This boy, with his grey eyes and chiseled face, a sharp widow's peak and pitch black hair—this boy holds my future. A life with me, with ups and downs, but still a beautiful life.
We could walk away from each other right now, going on our separate ways. We'd never have to worry about the whirlwind of complicated feelings coming our way. Through each other.
But he doesn't move, so I wait. His eyes travel over my face, taking me in. I'd eye him with the same intensity, if I could match it.
His eyes fall back down to our hands, and so do mine. We keep staring at them on bated breath, suspended in time. Everything comes down to the moment we're about to let go, and then, we grip each other's hand more tightly.
"Hey, um." I scratch the back of my neck. "Did you… see that?"
He arches an eyebrow at me, his lip quirking lightly. Like he's holding back a smirk. "Oh, that thing? Not really impressive. I'm used to holding hands and staring at handsome strangers in the middle of the street every other day."
I snort, then, laughing awkwardly. Witty. I think I like him already.
I shift my hold on his hand, turning it into a handshake. "I'm Simon, by the way."
