Last part of Gen 5! A lot of very dark pictures...whoops.
Flying - Swoobat: One of those Pokémon I just knew I had to have as soon as I saw them before the game came out. I liked that we finally had bat Pokés that don’t really follow the ‘scary blood-sucking bat’ trope a lot of video game/media bats do. I need more fluffy bats! Hoping we can catch them/Woobat in next game as I want one in a Love Ball.
Psychic - Beheeyem: My favourite of the gen and psychic type overall 💛 Beheeyem is just very special to me for multiple reasons and I just want to have a bunch for different builds.
Bug - Escavalier: My original favourite of this gen, and favourite bug overall. Another must-have pick I knew I needed when I was going through the gen 5 Pokédex before the game launched. This gen just had so many great bug types and I wish I could have more of them on this list!
Rock - Archeops: Favourite rock type overall! It’s a lizard bird (archeopteryx)...I love them. Like most other fossils I’m waiting for the day we can finally get one in non-standard ball as I want to use one so badly but I like to have all my main Pokémon in a luxury ball (if they don’t better fit another ball).
Ghost - Cofagrigus: This gen had so many great ghosts as well but I think Cofagrigus is the top...again like Ground though may switch with Chandelure at times. There was always such fear when playing through Gen 5 when they were sent out because of their ability. It’s one of the creepiest designed Pokémon and I love that. Also kinda happy with how the photo turned out considering the original in-game one looked bad due to no reduced lighting for night backgrounds.
Dragon - Hydreigon: Yet again my favourite overall of the Dragon type. Hydreigon is just so good and another scary Pokémon to be up against. It’s shiny works well with green and like Volcarona, that grind to evolve them really pays off, though it is a little annoying how you won’t really get them sometimes even when you’re at the E4.
Dark - Zoroark: Zoroark is such an incredible design and probably my third favourite dark type overall (after Alolan Persian and Darkrai). One of the best shinies in the games in my opinion and the first I tried for during BW.
Steel - Ferrothorn: Something I started to love more after I tried using one during BW2. She was the second MVP of the team after Drapion and the first to reach level 100. Also really annoying to get a good looking photo of and it really annoys me how their...arms/legs? move at the base when they’re supposed to be stuck in the ground. Still, I love them so much and favourite steel type overall!
Fairy - Whimsicott: I actually disliked Whimsicott at first a bit...Then I decided to use one myself and that was a great decision. A great Pokémon to have for annoying others - you don’t even have to have any attacking moves on them. 😈 Couldn’t get the background done right though 😓
