Partial coffee service (Déjeuner “Culture et Récolte du cacao”), hard-paste porcelain (1836) Sèvres Manufactory (French, 1740–present) produced this inventive service commissioned by King Louis Philippe for Queen Marie-Amélie. Originally established at Vincennes and moved to Sèvres in 1756, the manufactory became the preeminent producer of European porcelain under the patronage of the French monarchy.
