After answering that ask I found out some minor spoilers by accident while looking into this but no trace of it fully online (the original leaker doesn’t want to to avoid legal trouble). I’m really hoping I’m strong enough not to spoil it more for myself before I can read a copy but I don’t know if I’m strong enough lol

Hi! I’m bottle raising my first kitten. (She was given to me by a friend bc her mom wasn’t feeding her.) I’m not quite sure how old she is, but I’m guess about 2-2 1/2 weeks, since she’s walking, but is very wobbly, has eyes and ears open, and her claws still aren’t retractable. Do you have any tips for a first time kitten raiser? I really don’t want to get anything wrong.

I highly recommend The Kitten Lady on youtube! I do things a bit differently, but she is an excellent resource.

Hi! I just found your blog and wow I'm so happy I did! Do you have any mouse youtuber recommendations? Currently the only one I watch is CreekValleyCritters, but I'm hoping to find some more

I don’t watch pet youtubers for the most part. I have unmedicated adhd so watching long vids without subtitles is Difficult for me, plus a lot of pet youtubers are... mediocre at best. The people who get popular on pet social media are not always the people who actually have the best care, unfortunately. Youtube in particular tends to reward those who are constantly getting new pets (so they can make New Exciting Videos with them) who consequently tend to keep them in minimalistic conditions to save money/space/etc.

There’s good and bad people on all social medias, of course, so it’s certainly possible there are good mouse / general rodent youtubers! I just don’t know of any personally, tumblr and a handful of facebook groups are my primary pet social medias. If anyone has recommendations, please share! Just remember to watch critically / not take everything at face value.

I got offered a job at my local vet clinic yesterday and I’m not sure if I want to take it. For ref, I’m a highschool student who will be graduating this year. I’ve always wanted to work in the vet field, but about 2 years ago, my mental health took a nosedive, and I decided to reconsider, since I know it’s a harsh job. But now, I don’t know. I guess I’m kind of hoping it’s a sign that this was the right path for me after all? This was a bit of a rant lol I’m sorry

It might be worth a try. I have anxiety, and depression, and adhd and I thrive in this field. It’s stressful and anxiety inducing... but not always a bad anxiety? I love what I do. But it’s definitely not for everyone. If you try it out and it starts affecting your mental health negatively, then quit. At least then you’ll know for certain, right?

favorite thing about where you live? least favorite?

it’s beautiful with the mountains and trees everywhere you look and there’s always a body of water nearby. living on an island is a cool thing. but also my least favourite part is living on an island. so goddamn stuck.
