They are horrible, I love them
it kills me to think about all of the people who will never experience TCOAAL because of this whole ‘purity’ obsession. so many of them will listen to bullshit spewed by others (people who have… also never played the game,) instead of trying themselves.
“it’s incest slop!” brother. it is HEART-WRENCHING . it’s literally a story of neglect abuse, childhood trauma, generational trauma AND co-dependency.
it’s FILLED with metaphoric puzzles, an amazing soundtrack that leaves you feeling uneasy, stunning backgrounds, tons of carefully-drawn cgs, i mean…
i could go on.
like, if you personally dislike that kind of content, that’s absolutely fine! it’s not for everyone, but this stupid game of telephone is not going to erase what TCOAAL truly is—and it is art. there’s no doubt about that.
this specific kind of art is meant to be consumed critically—but these purity-obsessed people almost always refuse to consume media unless it’s 100% good and pure, and it makes me sad.
fiction is NOT, and should NOT be your moral compass.
