NezuTan (Nezuko Kamado x Tanjuro Kamado) from Demon Slayer

I've been watching some more Demon Slayer today. Finished Episode 19. So not only do you have a very powerful demon offering to spare Tanjiro's life if he gives up Nezuko, to which he says he'd rather die than lose her; and Nezuko actively throwing herself in harm's way to protect her brother because she would rather be cut into pieces than see Tanjiro hurt. And not only do we parallel the siblings with the demons and their "forged bonds" of family, but they also basically unlock super powers to protect each other while screaming about how their bond is the greatest thing ever.

AND THEN, AND THEN

The episode ends with special credits of images of them growing up through the years, showing that they've always been close, and the final thing we see is THIS

Look, I'm aware I'm a cest blog and that I just naturally gravitate to sib ships and read between the lines, and that I've been having fun shipping these two during this whole watchalong... but like COME ON!! It had already been REALLY easy to ship them with everything the show had been doing, but what am I even supposed to say to this?? That's a straight up lover's embrace. Like it just is. This is the kind of pose and look characters give in romance stories before their big passionate kiss- and it's an official image at the end of an episode all about how close they are and can't bear to be without the other.

The show itself is shipping them.

Never would've thought I'd come to this, but here we are. Because of someone I've subscribed to on YouTube, I've become intrigued with Demon Slayer. And the most beautiful thing I've seen in that show is...

...the amazing dynamics between Tanjiro and his little sister Nezuko! These two have the greatest sibling dynamics in any anime! So great that there are some people who ship them together, despite them already being family. And I won't deny I'm one of them. It hits me hard because I envy this kind of relationship and wish I had it between me and my own sister. Either way, this anime is amazing and I love seeing every moment between these two.
