and I thought the terrorist attack at the airport would have something to do with the main incident, but it was just a red herring. but on the other hand, if it hadn't been for the attack, the narrator wouldn't have been featured in the magazine and wouldn't have gotten a room at the hotel and therefore wouldn't have gone to the barber and therefore wouldn't have solved it
