Super personal, but absolutely wild that you can check out LGBTQ+ fiction out of the Bermuda National Library.
Like… this wasn’t on the radar in the least throughout my teen years. Fiction options were dusty as fuck. But going on the website, and their online catalog, not only is it available, but it’s highlighted casually as good reads! Not hidden away in the section specific for ‘the queers’ to fulfil a legal obligation, but just there. Without caveats.
It’s nice. 🥲
Not a lot gives me the warm sunnies, but this does. A long way to go still, but damn. What a ways we’ve come!
Reblog because it’s pride, and Chuck Tingle got a shoutout in the monthly newsletter.

So pleased with himself after stealing the last shred of toilet paper. Can’t get over the fact he swept up Most Beloved Stuffed Otter as he scampered out of the bathroom. Accomplice!

Our project is a profound tribute to the innumerable lives wiped out in the ongoing genocide in Gaza, honouring each individual through the act of stitching their names into fabric. In a world that reduces profound loss to mere statistics, we affirm the humanity and individuality of every person whose life has been taken. By threading each name with deliberate care, we create a communal space for grief, remembrance, mourning, and bearing witness, affording each victim the dignity of time and reflection.

Quiver Tree Forest… Despite the light pollution of neighboring city Keetmanshoop, the Milky Way was bright enough so one can say it’s a bortle 1-2 sky, which is actually the case everywhere in Namibia. (gear in tags, settings and process here )
