India’s federal agency to probe terror related cases – NIA – has dropped all charges against Sadhvi Pragya Thakur and five others in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case.

NIA also dropped the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act – MCOCA against the remaining ten accused in the case.

The National Investigating Agency will file a chargesheet in the Malegaon blasts case of 2008 within a month and currently the evidence against the various accused is carefully being scrutinized. The chargesheet is in the final stages and will be ready within a month, an NIA official informed.
