If you want to send an ask with some of the worldbuilding you've already got down I'm good to answer with some questions and pointers to help you get started with it, as well as other political systems you might want to look at for inspiration + remember that for a story you don't need to have all the worldbuilding figured out, just the parts that are actually relevant for the narrative you're building

I've got a question about phantom shifts --

When you shift, do you ever see yourself in third person?? Whenever I shift it's like I'm seeing or picturing my limbs in 3rd person or aware of them in some way. It's a bit strange, as I don't know if this is a common form of shifting. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Me personally, no, and I honestly cannot fathom what that would be like, but I've heard other people talk about something similar, though usually in the sense of memories being in third person rather than shifts. Anybody else out there with something similar?

I've got this one Avian OC -- basically just a person with wings n' some scales-- named Grackle who got totally fucked over when his house got bombed and he lost one of his wings. He only has one wing on his left side, and over the years the uneven weight of his wing has given him terrible scoliosis and a chronic pain disorder. He can't fly anymore, and he never really gets out of his house, which he hates because his parental figure & idol is super strong & nimble & fast and he wants to be "just like her" but he can't because of his disabilities. he's a Sad Boi and so fucking much happens to him in the story lol

but dw he gets a happy ending. sort of
