What’s the point of writing so many yandere stories in the same fandom? They’re all gonna be the same anyways.

Not at all actually. I love the usual trope of Yandere stories, but I got kinda sick of the mc/reader always being oblivious or just getting dragged along. Nothing wrong with that but I got bored of a lot of the same. My OCs kinda differ to match their stories.

Amira grew up in toxic relationships, she’s seen how unhealthy and unhappy it can be. She has solid steel boundaries that the yanderes can’t cross or she will blast them (thank you godly powers). Amira isn’t a yandere but she is willing to use their nature to her benefit. If someone is in her way or causing trouble she will just use some well placed words and a few kisses to get what she needs done. She more so sees the yanderes for what they are and tries to keep them under control.

Colette on the other hand grew up with neglect from her wider family, save her brothers and their butler. She doesn’t see herself as worthy of love and thus doesn’t really can’t see that the boys are interested in her. When she does finally understand it she falls almost as deeply for them, not yandere but a few tendencies like jealousy. Her story focuses on the boys and their trauma, building a relationship between broken people.

Stella isn’t a yandere story at all, more just what if pure sunshine goodness came to NRC, an made everyone get therapy.

And Artemisia is yandere (and a different fandom-Pokemon), but it’s 90% platonic. Her story focuses on the fact that she’s a child that had to grow up and be independent so young. She has “love interests” via the students and team MZ, but most of that is young/puppy love. Her story is more about her coming to terms with her (forgotten) past and that not all humans want to just use her.

Hope that made it more clear. Yandere trope and fandom can overlap but that doesn’t make it the same story.

Idk I imagine Steb would want to "go undercover" in the nasty underbelly of Zaun for information, see things for himself. And Colette knows so much of the nitty gritty details-and also she threw her boot at him, and she practically owes him for not arresting her for assaulting an enforcer-that she's made to be his 'tour guide'

I hate Finn and his fuckass tattoos(because they're a pain to draw, love his overall design). Colette would have been pretty naive and inexperienced when it came to relationships. And too stubborn to listen to Margot at the time.

There's more angst but it's wordy so I'll put it below the cut, anyways-have this:

I have a v rough time line here. Very rough-

Age 16-19, working for Margot

19, first meets Finn(who's perhaps around 21 at the time give or take). Begins relationship with him, unbalanced, unhealthy, toxic.

Start of the series six or so years time skip

Year one. Freshly 20, all shit hits the fan in the span of a week-confronts Finn, gets dumped, someone frames her for a murder(she's convinced it's Margot*), winds up in Stillwater. It can't get worse, right? Oh, no no no, I did not design a child to only use him in one au. Colette is pregnant, in Stillwater. Like hell are the authorities going to give the kid to her family(Margot). Even if the lady has connections.

Has the child in prison, she is convinced that the child passed. Because surely that would be kinder than telling her she can't keep him and will likely never see him again. Right??(He'll end up being raised by one of the guards)

Year two-three. The bitter resentment grows. She blames Margot for everything. Blames the Chem barons for everything. Towards the end of year three, she's released. Very bitter. very angry. But she has plans. She's waited this long, she can bite her tongue a while longer while working on screwing Margot over from the inside.

Year three to six. Slowly begins secretly aiding the Firelights, gathering intel and the like. Mole stuff. Very guarded at the start, blunt. Slooooowly begins warming up to them.

After time skip

Doesn't fully join the Firelights until after Finn starts trying to convince people to overthrow Silco. She is Not sticking around for that. That's a whole ass mess. But she uses the confusion to nab as much intel as she can.

By the time of Silco's death, she's 100% on the Firelights side, just up and abandoned Margot.

*it was that damn bastard Smeech. Him and Margot were alluded to have been allies, I can see him wanting to take full advantage of Colette's venom research for his own benefits. This does not mean Margot is completely innocent, however, she still had Colette doing sex work after she turned eighteen. Still had her under an ever-growing pile of debt. It's a complicated relationship
