Missed Opportunities of Bandersnatch!!!!
- using White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane SOMEWHERE. I mean come on it’s called Bandersnatch...Stefan has a bunny...he travels through time through mirrors!!!! It’s fricken inspired by Alice in Wonderland
- using Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by the Beatles somewhere too. I mean...they took LSD...they’re British...come on Netflix.
- I mean maybe even fit some Bowie in there. Wth Netflix.
- oh and what about Psycho Killer by Talking Heads...or any Talking Heads for that matter??? Or Joy Division????
- maybe some sort of clear nod to Donnie Darko. It’s clearly inspired by Donnie Darko ngl. Too many parallels for it to be a coincidence.
- too many obsolete paths...yes I know that there’s a poetic point of obsolete paths, but my friends got annoyed. They didn’t see the underlying theme. They got extremely irritated every time we had to go back. (This one is the least of my worries tbh)
- should’ve been some sort of happy ending. Yes...I know it’s black mirror...yes I know that’s the point...but the creators just should’ve made it extremely hard to get to, or bittersweet in some other way. Just...not death.
- Calling Stefan “Fionn” instead of “Mike” in the actor on a set ending. it would’ve been more impactful.
- STEFAN AND COLIN! most obvious one to me...should’ve been some sort of an option. Too much chemistry there to not have that been an option somewhere.
These are just my thoughts! I loved it sooooooo much, so don’t misinterpret this. (Anyone else reading MAD fanfics and imagines? Cos I know I am...)

My Fair Lady
““Maybe” was so nice!!! I like your writing a lot. May I please request a Stefan and reader who really likes musical theater? (There’s a musical called “My Fair Lady” that if you’d want to use that’d be perfect but if not no pressure!) Maybe the reader gets a role and doesn’t tell him that it’s the leading one until he sees them on stage? I love broadway a lot and I’m full of feelings thanks for your time!!!”
Warnings - Nothing just fluff

A/N I loved this request it’s so cute thank you for sending it:~) I really hope it’s what you wanted (I’m sorry this is super cheesy and mostly exposition, I also know nothing about theater oof)
Stefan and I hadn’t been dating for too long but the short time that we had spent together we got very comfortable and used to each other’s hectic schedules quickly. We met in a quaint bookstore, I visited there often and recognized him as he had been there at the same time s me before. Our first conversation sparked as we were both buying Pygmalion and discussed our mutual interest in the book, music, and video games. The relationship was something we both had to work hard far due to our conflicting schedules. My love for Broadway brought me to working on small musicals in my area and Stefan was new to game developing so our time together was very constrained but we found different was to make it work. We became official when he was a little over halfway done with Bandersnatch and we both helped each other out in any way we could.
When I saw that the theater in our area was holding auditions for “My Fair Lady” I knew I had to try out. Pygmalion was one of my favorite novels and the reason Stefan and I started talking which that made me want to be a part of it even more. Before I auditioned I decided that didn’t want to get mine or Stefan’s hopes up because I knew the competition would be fierce, every other theater actress in the area would want to be Eliza. I would keep it to myself until I was sure that the part was mine.
Hiding it proved to be a little difficult since most of my free time that I would usually spend reviewing my lines I was spending with Stefan but after a few late nights reviewing the script I was ready to audition. The morning of thought was a mess. I was a nervous wreck and didn’t have Stefan to calm me down like he usually would but I pulled through and it all surprisingly went by like a breeze. I was in a great mood and had a lunch date with Stefan after the audition which seemed like the perfect time to let him know about the part and how well my day went. On my way there though, I decided that maybe keeping it a secret for a bit longer would be smarter, maybe the audition didn’t go as well as I thought and I didn’t get the part, in that case, it would be best if Stefan didn’t know about it altogether. So it was decided, I wouldn’t tell Stefan about the part until I was officially cast. This, of course, was almost two months ago and my performance was scheduled for tonight. Don’t get me wrong, once I got the news the first thing I wanted to do was tell Stefan, but I saw how well I was keeping my secret under wraps so I wanted to see how far I could keep it going. So there I was on my way to meet up with Stefan to get to the theater together and see the musical that he thought I was just helping out behind the scenes with.
Once we arrived I walked with him to his seat and headed backstage to get ready at a record time. My nerves were back and not having Stefan there was difficult but I knew it would be worth it. The curtains parted and the bright lights (only slightly blinded me) as the music started. The whole thing was a breeze and my nerves disappeared as I perform the story I loved. Something about this role made felt so much more inspired than anything I had ever performed and I could see it was because of my personal attachment to the play. This felt so personal and the fact that it was this story that brought me and the boy I loved together made me love it even more. These were the moments that made me love performing and knowing that Stefan was sitting right there watching filled me with so much glee. As much as I loved being on stage I was highly anticipating seeing Stefan and hearing what he had to say about my performance.
After I took my final bow I dashed backstage to get changed and meet Stefan at the front of the theater. As I walked out I spotted him standing there jacket in hand and a glowing smile stretched across his face. I couldn’t hold myself back and ran into his arms and giggled into his shoulder as he spun me around.
“That was incredible,” Stefan said into my ear. “Absolutely incredible.”
“You’re not upset that I didn’t tell you right?” I said pulling my head out to face him but remand in his arms. “I really wanted to surprise you - with this story being the reason we started talking and all.”
“I was speechless when I saw you up there,” He said after pressing a kiss to my forehead. “That story will always be special to me but tonight just made it mean that much more to me.”
I laced my fingers through Stefan’s and smiled brightly at him. His sweet words never failed to bring a pink tint to my cheeks and after the performance, I felt euphoric. I finished performing the story I loved and now I was heading home with the boy I loved what more could I ask for?
