My sophomore year in band camp I was running to my spot, and just as a colourgaurd was picking up her saber, and she stabbed me in my right ankle. Lucky for me as of 2015 the school makes the colourgaurd put a cover on the end of the sabers so they dont destroy the field. All it did was bruse my ankle. - solar

Word of advice: if you twist your ankle during a band performance, do not get up and keep going because you'll hate yourself for it later.
